Harsimran Oberoi (Actress) - You Attract What You Think

A woman of great strength and emotion. A woman that loves everyone around her. Who smiles no matter how much she struggles.

Tell us something about your background and journey.

I am a cse engineer. I was always passionate about acting. I started my career with modelling in college and participated in inter and intra-college modelling events. Modelled in songs. Participated in miss PTC Punjabi 2017 and became amongst the top 5 finalists. 

Went to Mumbai after that and attended acting workshops to polish my skills. I also did a Punjabi short film Rahaa Ishq Diya for PTC BLOCKBUSTER and then got to play desho in Khasma nu Khani after an audition in Mumbai.

Who inspired you to become an actor?

I always used to watch movies with my Mom and Dad and my father has always been fond of movies and television. I guess I got it from him. My inspiration has never been one. 

I get inspired by multiple things or people in my life. But yes my parents have been my biggest inspiration and motivation.

Tell us something about your role 'Desho' in khasma nu khani?

Desho is every homemaker we see every day around us. A woman of great strength and emotion. A woman that loves everyone around her. Who smiles no matter how much she struggles.

What else are your interests other than acting?

I like reading, dancing, travelling and vlogging. I recently started my youtube channel as well named *That Happy Vibe*

How was your experience as a finalist for 'Miss PTC Punjabi'?

It was amazing. We Performed live in the finale and it is a different feeling altogether. 

I would say those days while we were in the competition were one of the best days of my life. Some experiences stay with you all your life and this was one of those experiences

What is your mantra of success? 

I always believe in one thing in my life: you attract what you think. If you think about achieving something and work towards it no matter what you will achieve it
