Tell us something about your background and journey.

Hi this is Mreenal Deshraj, well my background I am BCom graduate and a fashion designer and I did theatres for 5 years and in that span I have done 7 plays which were all comedy and from there I got this tv offer 'Kahin to Hoga' and my journey started from there on tv, this is how I came in the industry.

Who inspired you to become a television actor?

Acting was not on my mind, I never thought I'll be an actor by fluke, it happened. I was aimless all my life and I didn't know what to do in my life and then I got this offer for theatre and from there I started doing that so there was no aim in my life.

I was just going with the flow and slowly somehow I started doing the first play and then second after then tv-shows and this is how it went, there was no such inspiration, nobody inspired me to become an actor neither I thought of being one so by fluke it happened so this is what it is.

Tell us something about your role in 'Jhanvi' in ishqbaaaz?

My role in ishqbaaz as 'jhanvi' was very special because after 2 years gap, I came on tv once again and never thought this role will be so famous among people. At first, I was very hesitent to do this role because on tv i didn't wanted to do such roles that she's an alcoholic or something like that so I rejected at first but later on I accepted this role as a challenge and it turned out to be such a wonderful role, it gave me everything whatever I was lacking at that moment and later I realized that it was such an wonderful character, she was emotional and then independent and depressed so there were so many shades in her character and with time she uses to change.

I've so much to talk about jhanvi because it was such a character that everybody could relate to it especially who is rich and famous and their husbands have an affair with somebody else.

Because I still remember when I was doing that role there were tons of women who use to call me or message me that they can actually relate to jhanvi's character because we are living the character.

Mostly near us people are having some of the other affairs and each and every women going through this knows about there partner so that pain was actually shown in jhanvi's character that you can't talk about it and you have to deal with it, live with that man due to children or society so there were a lot of shades in this character.

What kind of shows you would like to do in the coming future?

I think I would like to do each and every character, I take it as a challenge like I did jhanvi's, I usually don't drink an alcoholic but did this character because I took it as a challenge so I think I would like to do every role, I want to live every character even if I never lived that in a reality that is the real fun.

You can't always portray yourself in front of the camera, the character has to be strong, meaningful, and it has to be existent in the show no matter if it's a short film, web series or movie or a daily soap so that doesn't matter, I just want to work all my life. So nothing specific I think every role is special to me.

What is your definition of fashion?

Fashion for me is a statement, not a style. Fashion does not have to be worn casually, nor outside the runway. Fashion is fit for all sizes for all people of all ages. Fashion is an art of personal self-expression, not an excuse to be pretty, popular and charismatic.

Share your mantra of success.

There's no such mantra to success, there are so many things involved in success, first is luck other than that focus, discipline and how much serious and passionate you are for your work.

You have to learn so much and for that, you've to be open about it and you have to respect your work and people around you and you should be focused on your target and aim. So whenever you lose your focus or aim, from there you will start facing downfalls.

So you should meet right people, have good people around you so there are a lot of things which make you successful and I think patience and hard work are very important because everybody works hard but there are very less who have patience and definitely luck is very important I would say.

So I believe keep doing what you're doing and on one fine day, God is watching all of us so God will fulfil all our dreams so start dreaming and don't stop dreaming.
