Saad Chaudhary - Opportunities Are Not Really Lined Up (Roadies Participant)

Bombae happened after roadies, I got a text from the director of bombae Gaurav panjwani, so I use to live in Delhi at that time. So due to some reason, I didn't see his message, then one of my friend who was a television actor called me and asked me to contact the director of bombae.

And then I saw his message about the web series which they were making and Gaurav sir asked me if I will do this series or not.And then I went to Mumbai, read the script and I kinda liked the character and decided to do it

1.Tell us something about your background and journey.

I belong from Up Siyana (District Bulandshahar).

My schooling has been done from south Arabia , Delhi and up because mostly my family, my brother father and mother lives in south Arabia only, i and most of my uncles too use to live there. I did BTech in electronics and communication from Jamia milia Islamia, Delhi. And my story is a bit similar to 3 idiots like I wasn't wholeheartedly interested in engineering, I was just going with the flow.

It's just I've always seen that 'keeda' in every engineer that they want to do something else too other than engineering. So this is how I started doing theatres too, and then I did a course in photography. And then I thought of doing mass communication from Jamia itself but unfortunately, I couldn't get through it.

It's just I had different thoughts and wanted to do something in the entertainment and media industry because I was very clear that I won't be able to make engineering as my profession, that's how everything started and I decided to do roadies, and from everything started.

2.How and when did you think of joining the television industry?

As I told you, when I was pursuing engineering, I had this the thing in my mind that I have to do something else so I had this interest in acting and other things too like editing or sound designing or animation, so yes I wanted to be a part of the media industry.

Since then is started developing my interest in acting and I did theatres. And I did this famous theatre called 'Bagdhad ka Gulam' and it was directed by barry sir, and it has done by a lot of big celebrities and it was a very royal play. since then I thought of involving myself completely into acting.

It used to feel good when somebody uses to appreciate your character and work so I did this role of 'Mirza' in theatres so I was really appreciated for it and I actually liked that. So this is how it all started.

3.How was your experience with 'Roadies X4'?

It was a different experience and it is unforgettable like I had a friend of mine Rohan Pillai who was in roadies only so he made a statement in his journey while he was getting eliminated, he said that when I'll have kids they can proudly say "Mera baap to roadie the, tera baap the kya?"

So yes this is going to stay with me lifelong. And it is different for me because I have been following roadies since season 3 and this show was really close to my heart and I use to feel good while watching it, I had this connect with the show.

I loved everything about this show like from doing the tasks, getting eliminated and people do get famous after this show. And you get to see so many big people like ranvijhay sir and ayushman but these things are at one place, I just had this connection with the show. There were two shows I liked the most, one I did which was roadies and the other is big boss, I literally binge watch it and my friends use to make fun of me about it.

So yeah journey with roadies was great, we got to travel Bhutan is free and I can't really describe more but I will tell you one memory of mine like we use to take everything with us on the journey so I had this deo which I really liked it, and I used it throughout my journey.

So when I came back home and the show got over, after 1-2 months I purchased the same deo which I used it in the journey and as soon as I sprayed, the smell of it reminded of the entire journey I had in Bhutan. I mean the funniest part while purchasing it didn't click my mind that it's the same deo which I used in the journey, only the smell of it reminded me of my beautiful journey.

So it was really memorable, and I made so many friends there.

4.Tell us something about your role in the web series "Bombae"?

I want to become a good actor, so whatever it is a movie, serial or a web series I'll do it. So opportunities are not really lined up but the only thing I know is that I want to work hard which I haven't, so in life if you want to become a good actor then you have to struggle hard for it, and your struggle will decide your success. I have this really bad habit of leaving the things in between, like whatever I decide I tend to drop it afterwards.

So my thought process has been changed a little bit now that's why I have to work hard because in Mumbai there is a lot of struggle and there are a bunch of actors, but I believe if you are struggling hard then you will definitely get some or the other thing.

5.What are your other areas of interest?

So Bombae happened after roadies, I got a text from the director of bombae Gaurav panjwani, so I use to live in Delhi at that time. So due to some reason, I didn't see his message, then one of my friend who was a television actor called me and asked me to contact the director of bombae.

And then I saw his message about the web series which they were making and Gaurav sir asked me if I will do this series or not.And then I went to Mumbai, read the script and I kinda liked the character and decided to do it. So I played the role of 'Sudeep' who is a struggling assisting director and is fun-loving and bubbly so he wants to become a director.

So it's the story of 4 people two boys and two girls. And they all came to Mumbai from different places and somehow they all met each other and then they fell in love with each other. So mine was actually one-sided so it was basically a fun drama series.

6.What opportunities are you looking for in the coming future?

I have a lot many things in which I am interested but my problem is I always leave things in between. I am not properly able to work on it. See my first preference is always acting, want to become a really good actor, other than that I want to learn guitar, dance and I use to had this interest in learning bike stunts and then I had an interest in singing too and I want to learn different languages, want to learn Punjabi especially.

I also had this interest in callisthenics learning front and black flip, I needed that flexibility. I didn't have many interests in carrying weights in the gym though. So I learned these flips from my trainer Parveen for like 5-6 months. We use to go to Versova beach in the morning. And that too I left in the lockdown so there are a lot of interests which I have but that is not fully accomplished.
