Sri Hari Charan - Transparency And Top - Notch Customer Experience Makes Us Stand Out (Entrepreneur)

My cute mini

Within a few days of posting my miniature work on facebook, the response was tremendous and it all scaled up in a matter of months, where I decided to let go of my IT job and take it full-time. People very much liked the concept, and I formed a team to cater to the demand, which was quite unexpected.

1. Tell us about your background and journey

Myself, Sri Hari Charan, 29, very much passionate in art and crafts since childhood. Studied B.E Comp Science and Was working in IT before I started MyCuteMini in July'2014 as a facebook page.

2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?

I used to do a lot of design work as a freelancer during college days and was executing stone sculpture work for garden and interiors through a client. 'MyCuteMini' started off as a trial to make myself in stone, but it wasn't in a feasible format that can be used as a gift.

Then I came across this material, Synthetic Ceramic, used as a filler for wooden statues. I tried making my own miniature in this material which came out very well and thus 'MyCuteMini' was started after tweaking the material into a more sculptable medium.

3. What was your opinion before starting this and how well did it turn up?

Within a few days of posting my miniature work on facebook, the response was tremendous and it all scaled up in a matter of months, where I decided to let go of my IT job and take it full-time.

People very much liked the concept, and I formed a team to cater to the demand, which was quite unexpected.

4. What are the challenges you face in your profession and how do you overcome it?

We have seen all sorts of possible problems that would come up in any order and we make sure our customer is well educated about the process and the time it takes.

Our biggest challenge is production time. Ceramic takes time to cure and we need a minimum of 4 weeks to deliver a 100% Handmade Replica Miniature Doll.

5. What is your success mantra?

Transparency and top-notch customer experience, which makes us stand out in this 6.5 year journey of MyCuteMini. Besides this, our quality of work and realism of the dolls is class apart.

6. What advice would you like to give to your followers?

For entrepreneurs who follow us, my advice would be to focus on the base of anything that they wish to solve and work with focus on customers, rather than the other way around.

Like for example, we are in the happiness business and not into doll making - or in other words, we help customers impress their loved ones and make them happy, MyCuteMini is one such product that brings that happiness and smile.

Every order we do is focused on that moment of gifting with the surprise and smile that it brings, and that's all that matters!
