It's all about finding opportunities. Doing music independently is not as easy as it looks. But once people start listening to your music you get to travel a lot.

1.Tell us more about your background and journey.

I was born and raised in Indore. I spent almost all of my childhood either playing one or the other sports or listening to music.

My father is an Astrologer by profession and he used to sing and play tabla during his college days, I think that is where my interest for music mostly came from.
My childhood was full of ghazals and poetry. I think it's still full of ghazals and poetry

2. When did you first decide you wanted to pursue music and how did you start?

I decided to pursue music when I was in high school.

I was already learning Indian classical vocals in the school and eventually I started my training in guitar playing as well.

Songwriting is something that came naturally to me.I still don't know how it started.

3. Who is your favourite artist and why?

Jagjit Singh Saheb. He is just incredible. His minimalistic yet super impactful approach towards composing music is very difficult to find or achieve.

4. Can you throw some light on opportunities one gets as a musician?

It's all about finding opportunities. Doing music independently is not as easy as it looks. But once people start listening to your music you get to travel a lot. I think traveling and playing with different artists is something that I love as a musician.

5. Is format training required or can one train themselves purely on the basis of talent?

I feel training helps you a lot when you are stuck in a creative block. I think training is really important even if you are naturally talented.

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?

Stay true to what you do.

Don't try too hard for getting popular on social media.

Create/write something that is not pretentious.

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

I cannot name a single book. Right now I am reading poetry by Dagh Dehlvi Saheb and it's incredible.
