Salim Zaidi - I Also Did Theatres and From Theatres I Got Films

 

My elder sister Farha Fatma brought up me very well. I'm fond of cricket I played Two times north zone inter-university. But again it was my bad luck I was not selected. I was out made zero. And on suggest of my brother I did mass com. During my studies of mass communication, I also did theatres. And from theatres I got films.

1.Tell us more about your background and journey.

Myself salim zaidi. And My father is Syed Ali Zamin Zaidi. He was a teacher. father thought me way of simple living and to have high thinking, believe in God, do worship, do hard work, respect all religion, is short He is my teacher also. 

I remembered very well one day he said 'khane mai maza nahi khilane mai maza hai. dusro ki khidmat karne main maza hai'. 

It was bad luck my mom passed away in my childhood.

2. How and when you decided to be an Actor?

My elder brother adeel zaidi Told to me come to delhi and sais do mass com.With mass com I started theatre thanks to danish Iqbal who gave me chance his play "dara shikoh" I played jahageer character in this play. 

When I listened clapping of the audience then I decided I should do acting. So this the movement when I decided to be an Actor. After this play, I got first to call from the film "chalo driver" in 2012 Lalchand was director of this film.



3. Please tell us about a filmy experience in "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag".

After "chalo Delhi" film I got another film from Rakesh Om prakash mehra "Bhag Milkha Bhag". In this film I played the role of salim who is the pakistani journalist in the film. After this, I decided go to Mumbai. 

I came to Mumbai In 2013. My film bhag milkha bhag was a big hit. after this film In 2014, I have done commercial ads. My big hit was KBC promo with Big B Amitabh Bachchan and Raunalt ad with Ranbeer Kapoor mall nutrition with Amir khan Film "O teri Trip to Chandigarh".



4. What you get from the show “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hai”?

In 2015 big opportunity knock at my doors and that was from the show "Bhabhi Ji ghar par hai". This show gave me another name Tillu. 

This show made my star . Before this show, I have done serially Like "Jinie aur Juju", "FIR" ,"Tu mere agal bagal hai" and much more . After doing the Tillu character I have done a lot of events. Audience love to hear my hit dialog of the character Tillu - "Seth Ji tankha dedo warna gurde chheel dunga".

Tillu's is voice cover in title. It is a Magnetic voice.



5. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?

l want to say work is worship, also respect your parents, teachers, and believe in God...never lose hope every day is a new day... never blame to god always remember "Badkismati hamesha usi darwaze se daakhil hoti hai jo hum khud khula chhod dete hain". 

I observed local people who help with my acting skills. I inspired from Shahrukh khan, Nasruddin, Anupam Kher, Johny lever and Dilip Kumar.



6.Which is your favourite book and why?

My favourite book is the Quran I learnt lot of from Quran but main point leant from Quran "manavta sabse bada dharm hai" Everyone is equal, no one superior or inferior. Live life for others not only for yourself , the animal also lives for itself.
