A human drama inspired by John Nash’s life, a mathematical genius man who makes an astonishing discovery early in his career and stood on the brink of international acclaim.

After many years of struggling to discover himself, he lives on a painful and harrowing journey to eventually triumphed over his tragedy and late in life he received the Nobel Prize.

 

3. Catch Me If You Can (2002)


Abagnale, at the age of 17 became the most successful bank robber in the history of the U.S. later he acts as a doctor, lawyer and co-pilot for a major airline all before his 18th birthday.

A master of deception, he was also a brilliant forger, whose skill gave him his first real claim to fame. He is pursued by the FBI agent Hanratty who makes Abagnale his first mission but later is always one step ahead of him.

 

4. The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)



The true story of Christopher Gardner who invests heavily in a device called “bone density scanner” and thinks that he will sell all of them. Unfortunately, they do not sell well following which his wife leaves him and he loses his apartment.

He continues to sell the device while simultaneously taking an unpaid internship as a stockbroker with low chances of advancement to a paid position, despite being destitute.

Finally, he receives payment and he outshines the competition through six months of training and sells his device.

 

5. Peaceful Warrior (2006)



Dan a gifted athlete whose desire for success drives everything he wants and he shots for Gold in the Olympic. Dan meets the mysterious stranger Nick who opens his eyes to a new vision of strength and understanding.

Unfortunately, he has a traffic accident that shatters his legs and kills his dream, with the mystical help of Socrates and an elusive young woman named Joy, Dan grows to realize that strength of spirit is what leads a man to his true greatness.

The car mechanic and the billionaire are strangers that meet in the same hospital room. After a daily discussion, they have two things in common: a desire to complete a list of things they want to do before death and the need to come to terms with who they are.

Escaping the hospital, both they run away to set out the list of adventures of a lifetime. 


7. Blind Side (2009)

 


Based on a true story. Michael, a large black teenager, with a poor academic record is the son of parents suffering from drug addiction. Soon Leigh Anne takes charge of him as is her nature ensuring that the young man has every opportunity to succeed.

He expresses his interest in Football as she goes to help him too. Her family provides him with a loving home and a tutor to improve his grades so that he would qualify for an NCAA Division athletic scholarship.

Michael Oher was the first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2009 NFL draft.


8. The Karate Kid (2010)

 


The film is about a 12-year-old boy who moves to China with his mother and finds that he is a stranger in a strange land. He suffers from bullying and he knows little Karate which is not enough to fight until he meets the maintenance guy who helps him to learn more about Karate.

The movie is a lot smarter than people think and it did pretty well in the box office due to the wonderful match between the kid and the master. Living in the Chinese traditional life and learn about the ancient fighting values lead the kid to win the battle in the final competence.


9. Hidden Figures (2016)



Also based on the true story of three brilliant African-American women who are called “Computers” that serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations of NASA.

After facing much harassments due to their colour, the trio crossed all gender, race and nationality to race lines and achieve the dream of launching an astronaut into orbit that restores the nation’s confidence.

 

10. The Greatest Showman (2017)



The American entertainer Barnum, an orphan, penniless but ambitious who has a mind crammed with imagination and fresh ideas will always be remembered as the man who blurs the line between reality and fiction.

He turns to show business and creates the Barnum & Bailey circus that rises from nothing. Featuring catchy musical numbers, exotic performers and daring acrobatic feats, Barnum's mesmerizing spectacle soon takes the world by storm to become the greatest show on Earth.
