1. Tell us about your upbringing, background & journey.

Hello, I am Anshul Sharma, CEO of BrandBurp Digital, a digital marketing company. My journey has been like thousands of individuals, who dream of doing something on their own. I come from a B.Tech background; but my interest in sales and marketing pressed me into pursuing PGDM in Sales & Marketing from Symbiosis, Pune. 

Following the same, I studied Executive MBA in Sales at Cambridge University in order to enhance my skills and knowledge. Life, however, took me somewhere else and I joined a corporate firm. After being there for some time, I realized, it wasn’t meant for me and that’s when I quit my well-settled job to fulfill my dream of being an entrepreneur. I read a lot, watched tons of videos, listened to podcasts, and researched about business and its insights. Soon after, I found BrandBurp, a digital marketing company and an advertising hub.

2. How did you choose this field & what led you to rise to the highest echelons?

From people finding it useless to almost every big and small brand looking for digital marketing services, the industry has flourished gloriously.

Back in 2015 when I started BrandBurp, I didn’t know the company would come so far and achieve so much. Nonetheless, somewhere in my head, I knew that I was making the right choice. Today, when I see my journey, I feel delighted for the risks I took in life paid off well and gave me more than my expectations.

My company has been working on the branding and promotion of enterprises, startups, organizations, and agencies in order to help them thrive in the competitive market. 

Few awards we received in the recent years for our constant good performance are as follows:

  • Viral Marketing Award for delivering the best results to clients in 15 countries in 2015
  • We received the “Best Social Media Presence” by Webby Award in 2016
  • Drum Awards awarded us as “Best Creative Agency” in 2018 
  • We were recognized as the “Best Digital Agency” by IDMA Awards in 2019

3. What advice do you have for people who want to rise in a corporate environment?

Be consistent and reliable as they are the key to success. Work on your communication as it plays a major role in a corporate work environment. Also, ensure that you constantly improve your industry knowledge.

4. How has branding changed over the years?

From selling a product to selling your company’s values and beliefs, branding has evolved with time. It has moved on from being eloquent to be more versatile, communicative, and interactive. Besides, the methods of achieving the goals have changed. 

Digital marketing has been a great equalizer in the world of branding in recent years. It has made the globalization of brands easy and has given every brand, be it small or big, an equal opportunity to market itself on digital platforms. Social media too has played an important role in branding as brands can now reach out to the relevant audiences at cost-effective rates. 

5. How should one approach a new partnership for success?

A partnership can really help businesses thrive and succeed. But associating with a company just for the sake of partnering is not worth your time and energy. Hence, before your approach to a new partnership, ensure that you follow these points.

  • Make sure you know why you require a partnership or why you want to collaborate with another brand
  • It should be a give-and-take relationship, hence know what you have for the partnership
  • Prioritize your relationship and communication
  • Ensure that your goals, values, and certain principles align
  • Ensure that you approach a bigger company 

6. What are your future plans?

Talking about how the future looks like, the speed at which technology is rising, it is difficult to stay in the competition. We ensure to stay updated with the latest trends in the market. 

We started BrandBurp with a vision to revolutionize the functioning of brands across platforms. We have been working on conceptualizing brands by increasing their revenue structure. Our team that consists of business managers, PR and outreach influences, SEO page rankers, content marketers, content writers marketers, and social media executives, uses strategies to increase revenue, leads, and conversion. They work on making a digital presence or brands and building their online reputation with the help of the best tools.
