1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Jen McCarty. I was born in North London in 1973 to a Catholic family. I was very interested in spirituality from a young age and at around the age of 15, I was very interested to learn about astrology. At 18, I first learned how to meditate and I read a book by an author called Shakti Gawain, and she taught meditation about how to contact your higher self.

I went to India when I was 21 for the first time and met a lady who convinced me to chant the mantra Om Namah Shivaya. I chanted this mantra for 24 hours and I walked up to the top of a Himalayan mountain. And when I got to the top of the Himalayan mountain, I looked up at the sky while chanting the mantra, and I saw a blast of light and my third eye blasted open and I saw God everywhere.

I went into an extremely powerful state of God-consciousness and oneness, and I had a fully powerful kundalini awakening. This changed my life and I became a spiritual teacher and spiritual activator, and I know assist people to come home to God-consciousness.

2. What led you to take up this career path?

What led me to this career path was a very, very deep interest in meditation and spirituality and self-improvement and self-mastery.

3. What are some common myths in society about being highly successful?

Some common myths in our society about being highly successful are that you have to be ruthless. You have to rip people off. You have to be unkind. That money is evil. But I do not believe that.

I believe that that is a myth because I believe that money is a neutral energy and it is dependent on your intention and your vibration. I believe that money is very spiritual in fact, and we must use money to bring heaven to earth and to help as many people as possible.

4. How can people remove negative thoughts?

People can remove negative thoughts by committing to a spiritual practice whereby you become the observer of your thoughts. Without a spiritual practice, you will always believe every thought that you think and you will identify with every thought.

However, a thought is like a cloud and your true identity or perception is like the sky. Like the sky, you must hold space for the clouds, but you must not forget that you are the sky and you are watching, observing, and holding space for the clouds.

The way to remove negative thoughts is to simply observe them, to not feed them and give them lots of energy and believe them.

If you want to become a spiritual teacher, the best thing for you to do is to work on your spiritual vibration, commit to a spiritual practice, such as resting as awareness for short moments, becoming the observer of your monkey mind, going on rampages of gratitude whenever you remember to do so.

You have to get to the point where you no longer seek other people's approval. The only approval that you seek is God's approval and you commit to being the best daughter or son to mother, father God, every second of your existence.

When you are truly following your bliss, the conversation of work-life balance doesn't really come into play because for me, my work is my bliss. My work is oxygen. I work out of absolute joy. It is effortless.

5. How according to you can one manage stress?

The best way to manage stress is to commit to a spiritual practice and to recognize that you are not your thoughts, that thoughts are temporary and they very often belong to the collective. If you can commit to a spiritual practice to become the master of your thoughts, this will help you more than any other way to manage stress in your life.

Also commit to the spiritual practice of going on rampages of gratitude. This makes you feel so amazing and so happy and completely eradicates stress at the root level.
