About the Author

Jane Austen [16 December 1775 - 18 July 1817] was an English novelist, who used realism, biting social commentary, and free indirect speech in her novels. Austen's work is more or less affected by her background.

About the book

I’ll try not to spoil the plot for anyone who hasn’t read it, but as you can imagine it involves plenty of relationships, along with love and jealousy. In a time where the only way for a woman to become wealthy or increase her social status is by marrying, there is the family of Bennet family has no son and five adolescent daughters Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Lydia, and Kitty are arguably middle class affect their social behavior.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennet's daughters are unable to inherit their father’s estate. Mrs. Bennet attempts to marry them off to men she thinks will prove some advantage to the family. When Mr.Bingley and his friend Mr. Darcy arrive in town.the most adored love stories from English literature. between the protagonist Elizabeth Bennet, and Mr. Darcy.

Jane Austen also explores the social class and gender of the period. Elizabeth herself is a compelling character due to her and strong sense of right and wrong through which she isn’t afraid of social conventions. Events lead Mr. Bingley to fall in love with Jane. However, Mr. Darcy is circumspect and believes Jane isn’t in love but after money, and so tears them apart.

Following a long period of no interaction between the families, the Bennets give up hope of Janes marriage and are depressed especially Mrs. Bennets whose aim in life is the successful marriage of her daughter.

Mr.Collins and Mr.Wickham can be said to be the villains. Their induction brings about difficulties in the lives of the Bennets, particularly the latter who cheats Lydia, the youngest Bennet into love and runs away and later demanding money for their marriage among these events Elizabeth is proposed by Mr.Darcy and her ignorant of the truth and full of hatred toward him. However, she later comes to know the true character of Mr.Wickham and Mr.Darcy and regrets her past action and prejudice.

My rating for this book is 4/5 as the plot and story are simple. The story focus on social problems. This novel not only affects the literary world but also real-life, as we can see Elizabeth and Darcy as a symbol of the lower and higher class. As Jane Austen gives us the moral message in this book.Message about love and anti-social class. Not only love for the lower class but also love for every people in this world.
