1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Yuri Demyanov. I live in Russia. I am professionally engaged in painting. I graduated from the university and received the profession of an artist. I create a painting in the style of impressionism.


2. How did you decide to pursue art?

My desire to study fine arts appeared in childhood. I drew a lot even before I started my professional education. The desire to do art helped me to overcome all difficulties, and I entered the university. Then there were five years of study. But studying at the university is only the beginning of the path to professional skill and achievements in painting. You always need to improve your skills and gain new knowledge.


3. What kind of theme inspires you and why?

In painting, I prefer to create landscapes. I also like to portray still lifes. Sometimes I paint portraits. I paint my pictures from nature.


4. What fascinates you about the impressionism art movement?

Impressionism transfers the artist's creative energy to the canvas. At the same time, it requires high professional skills and knowledge. For me as an artist, impressionism gives a lot of positive emotions in the process of work.


5. How did you overcome negativity as an artist?

To remain inspired and full of creative ideas, you need to look at the world, trying to find beauty and joy everywhere. This is work on yourself that needs to be done constantly. We must not forget that an artist needs to constantly improve himself not only in skill but also by shaping his emotions and feelings.



 6. What message would you give to aspiring artists?

The aspiring artist should know that success does not come immediately. You need to work hard and not be disappointed by failures at the beginning of the creative path. If you constantly learn and improve your skills, you will have a good result.


7. Who is your favourite artist and why?

There are a lot of favourite artists. I am close to the great Russian artists Feshin, Serov, Vrubel, Korovin. And many others.
