1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born in Paris, France. At the age of 2 my parents, my 2 older sisters and I moved to Switzerland where my dad was living. My dad is Swiss and my mom comes from Ivory Coast. I grew up in Switzerland for most of my life.
At the age of 4, my parents split and I had to live with my mom & sisters until late 2020. I then decided to go live with my dad for a bit more than a year before moving out of the country.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create video and how did you start?
I’ve wanted to create content on the internet since I was 8 or 9. I used to film a lot of things with my friends for fun but we never had the courage to post anything. I was running like 3-4 meme pages on Facebook when I was 11.
At the age of 13, I started filming Minecraft tutorials on YouTube but I won’t give you the name of the channel because it’s way too cringe At 14-15, I was filming comedy podcasts in my room but still didn’t have the courage to post because I was scared of judgements.
1. How did I start ? In September 2020, I was watching an entrepreneur on YouTube who was explaining things about certain new businesses. One day, he invited a TikToker over and they were talking about how fast your life can change & explaining how it’s gonna be the next big platform very soon.
They talked for a few minutes and the TikToker told Scott Hilse that he went from 0 to 1 million followers in a span of 5 months on the emergent platform. I then had this information stuck in the back of my mind for quite a while.
In December 2020 I asked 4 friends of mine if they were down to do a 5 months TikTok challenge & see who gets the most followers after this period. So I started posting on TikTok on the 19th of December 2020 when I was still 17.
3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
For me, the difference between a blogger and an influencer is that the blogger is really here to entertain people, talk about different topics, debate with the community or make his community have debates between them.
The influencer is more of a seller, someone who makes people dream, who can easily encourage people to do things & change people’s mindset. Of course it’s unfortunately not always in a positive way that’s what makes the influencer dangerous.
If the person promotes mental health, charities, and doesn't sell crap to its audience, then we can only respect that person for being under the pressure of so many people. Always making sure that he doesn’t say something that would offend anyone.
5. Who is your favoutite creater and why?
I don’t really have a favorite creator. I like some of the bigger creators on TikTok like Vinnie Hacker for who he is & Bryce Hall for his business mindset and how he stays relevant by knowing how to sell his image with dramas.
6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
I’ve wanted to create content on the internet since I was 8 or 9. I used to film a lot of things with my friends for fun but we never had the courage to post anything For me, I’m successful because I’m happy with myself, I’m doing what I love as a living & the project in my mind keeps me motivated to go further and I can totally see how they’re gonna help me reach my ultimate goal.
I want to make the world better by helping people to feel better mentally, feel more confident & love themselves more. I know there are a lot of issues in today’s society but I want to focus on this aspect because it’s the one that affects me the most.
7. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
My inspiration can either come from trending topics, videos, concepts on TikTok or just some people in my comment section who ask me to say some things or want to know more about something.
8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?
My advice to future and aspiring creators is to do it with love & passion. The times where I wasn’t feeling like doing videos anymore, my views were lower than ever, my mental health wasn’t doing good because there was a pressure I couldn't handle anymore because everything was going so fast.
Know what you really want in life, explore many areas & find what you’re good at. If you really want to be a creator, the key is consistency.
9. Which is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is 'The Instant Millionaire' by Mark Fischer. The title would make people think that there’s a life-hack to become a millionaire or that it’s the story of a man who became successful overnight.
But the story really is about a man who wants to become a millionaire as quickly as possible and he meets an old wealthy man who will give the man & the reader some good life advices which are really useful to start learning about the law of attraction, how it works & what you need to do in order for it to work. It was a life-changing book for me.
