I get inspiration from street fashion, movies, work interactions with people who are serious entrepreneurs into the industry of fashion and beauty.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I come from a family of Govt officials and I have done my media studies and then I took dive into the field of writing, branding and marketing. It’s been a beautiful journey so far, yet testing at times with hurdles and catapults both at the same time.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?
I started content creation way back in 2008 but since I Had limitations in operating to fullest because I had become a new mom, I was also finishing my education and managing a lot of fronts so this took a back seat.
Then I went on with content creation and content writing along with marketing activities for few select lifestyle brands anyways from within the confines of my home and finally took a plunge into fashion and beauty blogging with the official launch of my website as well - loftyspectrums.com
So although blog was launched later there has been work and time invested in similar fields over a decade before it was also launched.
3. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
Churning out content for trends needs you to always be a front runner in the same Field and since I also do regular columns in very renowned fashion magazines and newspapers, it’s a challenge and a task to be updated and extremely informed all the time.

4. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creater?
Consistency and hard work - there’s nothing in this world you can’t conquer. Also please be original and don’t try to ape others.

Multi cuisine Food lovers who love a little bit of desi tadka and fusion food - Bo Tai and Farzi cafe of Jiggs Kalra, Indian food - kebabs and curries @itc gardenia , Italian @toscano and punjabi chole Bhature @natraj Chole bhature, Asian food fiesta at The blue ginger @taj Westend.
6. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?
First is always good food followed by good ambiance that sets the mood for the amazing food and drinks. Next always comes hospitality , warm host and delicious and authentic flavours and aroma of food are an introduction to what is in store for you.
The interactions with chef give me a peek into the thought and emotion apart from ingredients that have gone into the recipe. Every recipe that a chef prepares has a story to it which only comes to fore if you interact with the chef.
7. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?
A good mushroom and chicken risotto coupled with a red wine and a great cheese platter and a peppy beachy score. It unwinds my mind.
8. Which is your favourite book and why?
My favourite book is Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy . It’s a beautiful description of a woman who is in love in a society that is witness to Russian revolution, a woman who is fighting with hypocrisy prevalent in those days and becomes a victim to the social falsehoods.
The novel depicts the political scene in the times of Russian revolution and also there is a parallel story of another man going on who probably is Leo Tolstoy himself who is going through conflicting thoughts and ideas, thereby giving him a philosophical orientation.
The novel ends on a sad note forcing us to reflect internally and to realize that we yet need to emancipate from social pressure, capitalism and the demons inside us.
