Cheryl Strayed, born Sept 17, 1968, is an Associate in Nursing, a Yankee author, and podcast host. She has written four books: The Novel Torch (2006) and also the nonfictional prose books Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest path (2012), Little lovely Things (2012), and Brave Enough (2015).
Wild, told the story of an extended hike that Strayed took in 1995. The book was a global bestseller which was later adapted as the 2014 film Wild.
