Jodi Anoorabh - Focus On Your Skills and Don’t Be Scared to Share Your Journey Out There and the Rest Will Follow (Choreographers and Entertainers from India)

There are a lot of opportunities in India for dancers, especially at this time. If one is talented and is consistent enough in showcasing their art on various platforms.

1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

We are Anoosha and Saurabh known on social media as  “Jodi Anoorabh” a couple who are full time IT professionals and video creators. Anoosha studied her B.E from BMSCE Bangalore and Saurabh did his B.TECH from IIT Bombay.

We both met back in the year 2015 and got married recently In January 2020. We both were passionate about dancing and this helped us bond after we started dating.

2. When did you first decide you wanted to pursue dancing and how did you start?

We both always loved dancing and had actively participated in dance events since our college days. Anoosha loved dancing in front of TVs on her favourite dance numbers at home and this lead to participating in school/college cultural events.

Saurabh wanted to get rid of his stage fear in IIT Bombay so stepped into dancing and ended up leading the college hip-hop dance group in various competitions back then.

When we first met back in 2015 in Bangalore we did not think about dancing together it was only a year later we posted our first video together on YouTube. We have been dancing together since then.

We started this couple account “Jodi Anoorabh" on Instagram in February 2020 just on our way to our honeymoon. Later that Lockdown gave us more time together at home and dancing made us & also those who watched us online happier and that kept us motivated.

3. Who is your favourite dancer and why?

We love many artists like Les twins, Himanshu Dulani, Chachi Gonzales, Bailey Sok etc

4. Can you throw some light on opportunities one gets as a dancer?

There are a lot of opportunities in India for dancers, especially at this time. If one is talented and is consistent enough in showcasing their art on various platforms.

Television shows are not the only medium to get recognition anymore, Social media is opening up a lot of opportunities to artists to help reach their art to people out there.

5. Is format training required or can one train themselves purely on the basis of talent?

We both are self-trained dancers, of course, formal training helps in certain aspects.

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?

Believe in yourself and question maza arha he ki nhi life mein?  Do what makes you happy and feel content. Nothing is small or big of an opportunity. Focus on your skills and don’t be scared to share your journey out there and the rest will follow.
