About the Director

The director of the movie, Faruk Kabir is an eminent person who has served in the Indian Film Industry as an actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. He started his career in film direction at the age of 18 only. He worked under veterans like Aziz Mirza and Santosh Sivan as an assistant director in his initial days in the industry.

In 2006, he made his directorial debut through the marvelous movie ‘The Awakening’ which was well appreciated by all the critics and audiences. Later he also debuted as an actor in the movie ‘Allah Ke Bande’ which was directed by him only. The film received so much encouragement.

He is one of those directors of the industry who always gives noticeable and quite unique films for the audiences. He always tries to reflect reality through the medium he has got to use.

About the Movie

The movie is quite dramatic, full of action, thrill but at the same time, it is also quite real. The first half of the movie reflects the hard times during the recession of 2008 where most of the people lost their jobs. The theme of the movie is a romantic thriller that also shows an unraised or ignored issue of international human trafficking rackets.

The movie stars Vidyut Jammwal, Shivalika Oberoi, Annu Kapoor, and other supporting actors have played their characters so well especially Annu Kapoor who brought an Arabic accent in the entire movie which made his character more real. Moreover, Vidyut’s action added thrill and excitement to the movie.

The movie is directed well with logic. In the movie, the protagonists belong to different religions but still, they both marry with their parents’ assent. Vidyut as Sameer is shown as a software engineer in the movie who loses his job due to the great recession. Then both of them, Sameer and his wife Nargis apply for a job abroad.

Three months later, they get an invitation for a job in Noman through a recruitment agent who works in an international recruitment company. Unfortunately, only Nargis gets a job there, not Sameer. Anyhow Sameer and his family agrees to send her out for a job but that proved to be the

the biggest mistake of theirs.

After reaching the airport of Noman, Nargis was taken somewhere else and that was the turning point in the movie as it was all counterfeit. No job was offered to Nargis rather she was trapped in an international racket that sold her for prostitution in Noman. From this point, the movie is all about how Sameer rescued her wife Nargis.

The title of the movie is ‘Khuda Haafiz’ which means ‘God Protect You’ is an absolutely apt title given to the movie as God is the ultimate protector of all.

The Bottom Line

The movie reflects reality from many aspects. Moreover, all the real locations where it was shot, added more thrill to it. It is a very good source of entertainment as it is a complete package of thrill, romance, action, and drama. The movie is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banner of Panorama Studios.

The movie is based on a true event that actually happened with a real-life couple in those times of recession. There are three songs in the movie composed by a very renowned composer, Mithoon. The movie is absolutely worth watching and one should definitely watch it to get rid of boredom.
