Savannah Vinson - At the End of the Day, You Just Have to Tell Yourself Everyone is Unique in Their Own Way (Model and Casting Director - Queen Castings, New York)

Since I was a little girl I always put on little fashion shows at home with my family. I loved being in front of the camera. When I realized you can be paid to take photos I was like sign me up!

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I moved to NYC 3 years ago from Cincinnati Ohio. I graduated high school a year early at 17 years old to the Big Apple to pursue my modelling career.

When I moved to NY I didn’t know anyone! Fast forward I model full time, started my own casting agency “Queen Castings” and I am a content creator for Instagram & Tik Tok. I currently have 123,100 followers.

2. How did you become a model and reach this stage?

Since I was a little girl I always put on little fashion shows at home with my family. I loved being in front of the camera. When I realized you can be paid to take photos I was like sign me up! I found out networking is everything to get to where you want!

3. What is your opinion of body image created by the media and how hard is it to put up with it?

It’s honestly very hard! Social Media has created this beauty standard that is so unrealistic. Something I personally struggle with is self-love. Being in the industry you are always comparing yourself to other models, getting critiqued, measured by agency’s etc.

At the end of the day, you just have to tell yourself everyone is unique in their own way! Nobody is perfect

4. How important is social media validation in your profession?

Social media is a huge part of my life!! I’ve had clients select me to work with their brand only because of my following. Also, because of my following/quality of content, I produce I have got to work with some of my dream brands!

5. How can one take care of their mental health in this high-pressure glamorous field?

Self-care is so important! I like to take a day or 2 each week just for me. This includes facials, meditation, enjoying simple things, taking time off my phone etc.

6. What are some of your upcoming projects?"

I recently have been working on a new reality tv show that will be airing on FOX. I’m super excited to announce me being on the show / watching it.
