As a Hair mask:

What you need to do to make a mask is, you need some yoghurt (if you don't have some you can use curd) and mix it with curry leaves.

The process of making the mask is:

  • Take handful of curry leaves

  • Then, blend it into a thick paste

  • Then add one tablespoon of curry leaves paste to 3 to 4 tablespoon of yoghurt.

  • Make a paste until its consistency gets smooth

  • Apply the mask on your scalp and massage it. Leave it for 30 to 40 minutes and wash it off with shampoo.

Use this mask once in a week. This will make your hair hydrated, smooth and shiny. It will remove all the dead cells and dandruff from your scalp.

As a hair tonic:

For hair growth you need a clean scalp to grow well. Remember in school days, your Mother used to put oil on your scalp saying it will nourish them well. That is right, oiling makes the scalp clean. Let's learn how to make nourishing oil. You just need curry leaves and coconut oil.

  • Take handful of curry leaves

  • Then, take a pan, pour the oil into it and add the curry leaves.

  • Heat the oil until you see a black residue forming around the leaves.

Once it is done turn off the flame and let the mixture cool  down. Then stain it and your tonic is ready. Apply it for an hour and then rinse it with shampoo. Use it 2-3 times a week before each wash.

The coconut oil contains fatty acids and vitamins that will make your hair healthy. And curry leaves have iron and other nutrients which strengthens the hair roots.

You can easily find curry leaves in stores. Usually they are found in dried form. Many of us may have them in a plant form in our gardens where you can have it in fresh form.
