In 2017, after going to a party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, Kenneka Jenkins vanished. She was eventually discovered inside a freezer after the hotel and the police didn't do much searching for her. Since she was discovered, many people have wondered what happened to Kenneka Jenkins and how she got there.
Who Was Kenneka Jenkins?
Kenneka Jenkins was born on May 27, 1998 to Tereasa Martin in Chicago.Fast forward to September 2017, Kenneka was taking care of her mother, who had undergone breast surgery due to cancer.
Kenneka informed her mum that she was going out on September 8th. She informed her that in honour of her starting a job at a nursing home, they would be going bowling and then to a movie. Around 11:00 p.m, Kenneka borrowed her mother's car and departed from home.
How She Went Missing?
That evening, neither Kenneka nor her three went to a movie nor did they go bowling. Instead, they attended a gathering on the ninth floor of Rosemont, Illinois' Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel.
Around 1:00 a.m, the group can be seen on security tape coming in through a side door. During the party, the buddies posted live footage on Facebook and Snapchat, but it was obvious the girls weren't having a good time. Even after they were instructed to stop, the party's male guests would aggressively flirt with the women. The last text message Kenneka ever sent to her family was to her sister at 1:30 in the morning.
In the Video captured by the surveillance camera of the hotel, she could be seen exiting an elevator and stumbling through the floors, hitting walls continuously on the way from drinking too much but her friends reported to her just having a drink. Soon she is seen entering the kitchen which was not being used as it was under Renovation.
Her last known video shows her returning to the double freezer through this kitchen. A cooler with a second door connecting to the freezer sections was located in front of this freezer. Although she is not seen in the video entering the freezer, it is assumed that she did so after opening the door and becoming stuck within.
Kenneka Found Dead
On September 10, 2017, at roughly 1:00 a.m., Kenneka's body was discovered inside the freezer unit. She was discovered on the ground, her hair untidy and one shoe missing.She had been sporting a white bra, a crop top jean jacket, and ripped jeans. As the cops described her, she was completely immobilised.
According to the authorities, there is no evidence of wrongdoing. She died from hypothermia, according to later autopsy results, even though the initial autopsy report said that their examination was inconclusive. Other than a few scrapes and wounds on her foot and ankle that were visible since she was not wearing shoes, there were no other injuries or marks on her body.
There were no indications of a struggle or a brawl. Her toxicology report revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.112, which qualified her as legally drunk.
What Could Be The Possible Causes of Death?
Hypothermia would have accelerated if she had had alcohol in her blood. Additionally, according to her mother, she had a prescription medicine in her system that wasn't given to her. It was topiramate, a medication used to treat epilepsy or as a migraine preventative.
Additionally, it can be used to reduce weight and stop muscle spasms.The cause of Kenneka Jenkins' death was determined to be an accident. Later, her mother and friends claimed they thought differently; they thought there had been some sort of deception.
Popular Conspiracies Around Kenneka’s Death
The Internet has not stopped investigating the case ever since coming up with rather very dark and unfortunate turn of things like kenneka being used for organ harvesting,being sexually harsssed,but these thoughts seem to be well thought out.
A certain conspirator took to the internet saying: “ But what people do not understand is how did Jenkins have enough strength to open a big freezer door when she barely had enough strength to walk in a straight line in the hallway.
Jenkins had multiple injuries to her body so if she did go in the freezer herself why does she have so many bruises on her body.” Few conspirators even went on to accuse her friends saying they might have sold her off and the hotel covered it off.
Jenkins' mother said that the hotel refused to review the security footage when she originally went missing and instead made public images of her dead body. This led to the hotel taking responsibility for the tragedy.
This is an extremely tragic and horrible scenario. Jenkins was killed, and she was someone's daughter, sister, friend, cousin, niece, and granddaughter. The evidence simply doesn't support an accident in this case, in my opinion. Nor do the Conspiracies
