The world we live in today drives us to the point that we want what celebrities have. From fame and a beautiful lifestyle, we wish for all the perks of money because famous individuals seem to have it all. But we fail to understand that celebrities are also individuals who face situations. Right from being poor to rich with all such disparities that happen in life. It's not always a good idea to compare yourself to someone else on how they appear on the outside or be jealous of them.

If you struggle with envying famous people, discover more about envy and what it means for you. This will help you gain a grasp on these disruptive and painful habits. There are reasons why people envy celebrities due to the below-mentioned statements.

Here are 7 steps that you can follow and be happy in life.

1. Nobody recognizes that everyone has the challenge to overcome. Accept the fact that everyone must face obstacles. It might appear like celebrities have everything. But there is probably some real challenge they aren't talking about in magazines or on TV. Recognize that what you are learning about a celebrity's life from the media is part of some rumor. The big picture may be able to help you control some of your envy.

Money, amazing clothes, and attention as a celebrity come with a price. Celebrities also have to worry about things that regular people don't. Preserving their assets, paparazzi, stalking, and maintaining appearances are some of them. Try to remind yourself that every single person is a human being regardless of what position he is in.

2. People don’t appreciate thankfulness for what they have. We start comparing ourselves with high-class people. Instead of comparing yourself to a celebrity, try to adopt gratefulness for what you have in your life. Making a gratitude list every day or once a week is good practice to define yourself. You can start small, by listing necessities that you are thankful for. And then add more specific things to the list as time goes by to better yourself.

3. People don’t compliment any good thing. Whether it is their friend or favorite celebrity they get an ego of jealousy. But giving compliments to others can also help you feel less envious. Be positive to those around you if you envy celebrities who get attention from the public.

Even giving your friends and family the smallest compliments can make a huge impact on them and you. They will value your optimism. You can congratulate yourself for making little effort to improve the world you live in. For instance, you could tell your best friend that her hair looks lovely or comment to your mother on her superb cooking. You could even congratulate a student or co-worker on a job well done.

Due to the prevalence of celebrities using social media like Twitter, think about complimenting a famous person. For instance, if a celebrity's stunning clothing on the red carpet is making you a little envious, try telling her how stunning she looked. Keep in mind that this famous person has feelings just like you do. She will likely be quite appreciative of your remark.

4. Drawing attention from jealousy that the celebrities you envy probably have a lot of strengths. You can aim at these aspects of their individuality and life to inspire your own. For example, if there's a singer whose modality you admire, use that as inspiration to find what sense of style fits you. Or, if you are envious because an actress transformed her body for a certain role, then start an action star fitness program. And get rid of your negative thoughts.

5. Learning to accept who you are makes you less distressed. Which means taking on a non-judgemental attitude toward yourself. Envy shows up because we feel like we aren't enough. Another person is superior to us or has something we need. Figure out how to acknowledge yourself will immensely affect the jealousy you feel toward celebrities.

Non-judgment is not the same as confidence. Being Non-judgmental is tied in with tolerating yourself for who you are. You didn't have control over your past, yet you can acknowledge how it's molded you and get a sense of ownership of your life. If this is truly challenging for you, consider going to a therapist, who can assist you with figuring out how to cherish yourself.

6. Avoid comparing yourself to celebrities. It is the world that encourages us to look up to them to get envious and also makes us compare ourselves with them which is unhealthy in some states. For example, the magazines portraying the models in fashion advertisements are mostly underweight. Or made to lose weight which is so cruel on the other side the modeling career is unhealthy. These models are depicted as glamorous and beautiful. So it’s wise to love your body and yourself.

7. Find other ways to live a meaningful life. Great actors and musicians will be remembered for their talent and work long after their death. It makes sense to be jealous of these things, but you have to focus on yourself and try to find your way to be happy and creative. If you have a hobby like playing the guitar or designing clothes, focus on developing your skills instead of comparing yourself to others.

Conclusion

Everyone is different and has different experiences in life. No one can compare to someone else, so stop being jealous. You might never know you have something special that others desire for. It is important to be grateful for what we have.
