The title comes from a very first story that started nearly twenty years ago when she decided to work for devadasis and approached a group of devadasis. But her first experience was not good they refused to coordinate with her instead they threw a chappal at her.
After some days she again tried but this time she was welcome by tomatoes. After her continuous effort and with the help of her father she was able to get love and support from devadasis and work for the group. At the start, she made them aware of the danger of HIV-AIDS. She helps the devadasis who wanted to come out of this profession. With the help of the Infosys foundation, a large number of devadasis become self-reliant.
Twenty years later, this group of devadasis gifted her an embroidered bedspread. This bedspread is stitched by each of the devadasis who get helped by the foundation. As 3000 devadasis got help from the foundation so there were 3000 stitches on the bedspread.
