Dinesh Kardam

During my college I used to give positive talks in my groups, then I started some presentations in classroom. I started giving public talks in 2012, But I got major breakthrough when I was there in Singapore for UPW event by Tony Robins, there were 15000 people from more than 100 countries.

1. Tell us about yourself and your journey.

Myself Dinesh Kardam, born in a small village of Uttar Pradesh and brought up in Delhi. I belong to a lower middle-class family, my father used to have a readymade garments business but it got shut very early. And my family had to manage for our livelihood. More than 10 years we lived in a rented house where didn’t have any comfort. My father worked as an auto driver, security gaurd & job in a factory later at a salary of 6000/-.

Somehow I manage my studies in science stream & got admission in Ramjas college, DU.

During my college I developed big dreams for myself & my family. And decided to do something big in life.

2. How and when did you start with public speaking and what led you to speak?

During my college I used to give positive talks in my groups, then I started some presentations in classroom. I started giving public talks in 2012, But I got major breakthrough when I was there in Singapore for UPW event by Tony Robins, there are 15000 people from more than 100 countries. I discovered that this is the one skill that could transform millions of lives. And I started my journey as a public speaker in 2019.

3. How do you prepare for a talk?

I do positive self talk with me. And also listen some of my favourite music. And tuned myself to give one of the best everytime I go up for a talk. I go deeper in myself only. Most important thing is, I am a spontaneous public speaker.

4. Can motivational/public speaking become a full-time career?

As being a motivational/public speaker our main job is to inspire people to reach their best state, remove blurry obstacles from their brain & convert their productive thoughts into action.

So, it will never go out of fashion. Moreover it is need of the time now days as well and in future too.

As we all know, in Mahabharat Shri Krishna was motivational speaker for Arjuna to keep him focused for his purpose.

And one can do this job, he can paid for that too.

5. Which public/motivational talk changed your life?

The first motivational seminar I attended in my college in 2012. After that I came to know about more people like this. And Tony Robins has impacted me a lot to become a public speaker.

6. Who is a life coach and how do you help others? What does your typical day look like?

A life coach is somebody who can give u insights about the fundamentals to live a holistic balanced life. I mentor very few people to help them to reach peak in their career by having a quality life. Basic observation skill, good understanding of NLP, emotional intelligence is necessary to become a life coach. Day start & ends with this kind of stuff. A life coach is on continuous evolutionary journey for himself.

7. How to stay motivated and not give up when one doesn't see any result?

Motivation comes in two ways, one is from outside other is from inside. You need motivation from inside to stay motivated. Things are not in your control always. Situation may get against you but you have to motivate yourself. Find a purpose in life.

Purposeless person is demotivated & give up soon. Your purpose keeps you motivated always. If you are not getting the results then it means your seed of hard-work is growing under the soil. Maybe you can not see it right now but that doesn’t mean it is not giving you the results.

8. How does one develop a positive attitude and mindset toward success?

A positive attitude is a mindset. When you starts looking positive in a negative situation that means you have a positive attitude towards life. Just like what you eat affects your health in same manner what you read affects your mindset & attitude. So develop a habit of reading some good self help books, biographies and success chapters from successful people. Develop a positive environment near around you. What you see, what hear, what you say affects your mindset.
