Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in the television industry for over 12 years, where I've gained valuable experience in various roles. I've had the opportunity to Supervise and manage challenging television series for well-known networks like ZEE TV, COLORS, NDTV IMAGINE, and others.
My journey has been marked by a commitment to delivering compelling and engaging content that resonates with viewers. I've successfully navigated the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of the television industry, adapting to new trends and technologies.
My passion for this field and my dedication to delivering high-quality shows have been the driving forces behind my accomplishments. I'm excited to bring my expertise and creativity to this new role and continue contributing to the success of our projects.
2. In the entertainment industry, working with tight schedules and budgets is common. Can you share an example of a challenging situation you successfully resolved during your career?
Yeah, of course we always work under pressure, and challenging the situation is the main part of every project,
Have always done a profitable project and resolved it by planning and dealing with the Actors and technicians...because I believe that it’s all about team work and spirit, and it works.
3. What are the important skills one should have to be a successful cinematographer?
To be a successful cinematographer, you should possess a combination of technical skills and creative abilities. Here are some important skills and qualities:
Technical Proficiency: Understanding camera equipment, lighting, and various technical aspects of cinematography is crucial.
Composition: Knowing how to frame shots, use angles, and create visually pleasing compositions.
Lighting: Mastering the use of natural and artificial light to set the mood and atmosphere of a scene.
Color Grading: The ability to work with color to enhance the storytelling and visual aesthetics.
Storytelling: Understanding the narrative and knowing how to convey it visually.
Aesthetic Sensibility: Having an artistic eye and a sense of what looks visually appealing.
Time Management: Meeting deadlines and working efficiently are important in the fast-paced world of filmmaking.
Visual Storytelling: Understanding the emotional impact of shots and how they contribute to the narrative.
Patience: Sometimes, cinematographers need to wait for the perfect moment or lighting conditions.
These skills, combined with experience and a passion for storytelling through visuals, can help you become a successful cinematographer.
4. Could you provide examples of high-budget and small-budget projects you've worked on for channels like Colors, Star Plus, Zee TV, and others? How does your approach differ based on the project's budget and scope?
See budget always depends on the subject, storyline, which can easily be told by Creatives director, the good writers who always comes with new ideas,
Have done low to high-budget shows for all the channels as per above in question
Our approach is always to do something different in hard-hitting, Romantic, Drama, Horror kind of subjects.
5. What has been your biggest learning from your job?
Through my 12+ years of experience in the television industry, my most significant learning has been the importance of adaptability. The media landscape is constantly evolving, and being able to embrace new technologies, trends, and audience preferences is crucial. It's a field where you never stop learning, and the ability to stay flexible and open to change has been a key factor in my success.
6. Which film(s) do you appreciate the most for its cinematography and why?
There have been many films that have been highly appreciated for their cinematography over the years, and it's subjective to some extent. However, according to my knowledge and experience one film often cited for its exceptional cinematography is "Blade Runner 2049," directed by Denis Villeneuve and shot by Roger Deakins. Roger Deakins won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work on the film.
The movie is known for its stunning visual aesthetics, use of light and shadow, and its ability to create a futuristic yet atmospheric world. It's a great example of how cinematography can play a significant role in enhancing a film's storytelling and overall impact.
7. Can you share any upcoming projects or goals you have as a filmmaker and how do you plan to continue evolving in the cinema and entertainment industry?
Yes can share it but can’t reveal the name of the project some terms and conditions are always there we do in the agreement with the production houses

Now in the process of doing a big web series for Jio Studios.

With over 12 years of experience in the dynamic and ever-evolving entertainment industry, I have honed my skills and expertise to make a significant impact on both high and small budget projects for renowned channels such as Colors, Star Plus, Zee TV, Star Bharat, NDTV Imagine, and Sony. My journey in this industry has been nothing short of exhilarating, marked by numerous accomplishments and contributions.
My role in the entertainment industry has been multifaceted, encompassing pre and post-production planning, budget management, and strategic initiatives for the growth of production companies. I have always had a knack for recognizing opportunities for change and improvement, which has played a crucial role in adding value to the businesses I've been a part of.
One of the key aspects of my career has been fostering creativity and innovation. I consistently connect with writers and content owners to explore new ideas and concepts that not only captivate audiences but also serve as revenue drivers for the business. This proactive approach has led to the generation of substantial revenue from shows across various projects.
My experience isn't confined to a single location, as I've embarked on overseas shoots, such as in Singapore, with dedicated crews to produce content for esteemed channels like ZEE TV. These experiences have expanded my horizons and enriched my understanding of the global entertainment landscape.
As a team player and contributor, I've managed and coordinated a diverse team of over 60 members, efficiently assigning tasks within the production staff. Handling various vendors, including suppliers, cast, and freelance crew members, has been a part of my daily routine.
Troubleshooting is second nature to me, and I have resolved pre and post-production issues whenever and wherever required, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. I have been actively involved in recruiting skilled resources to build a competent pre-post production staff to successfully deliver project work.
Managing budgets, timelines, and production activities has been central to my responsibilities, allowing me to meticulously track and monitor various aspects on set. My collaboration extends to working with different departments, including Creatives, Director, DOP, Production team, Set Designer, and Actor's Coordinators, as well as liaising with vendors for essential equipment and services.
In addition to my production duties, I've maintained a firm focus on upholding department policies, ensuring that all agreements, payments, and costs are aligned with company policies, norms, and regulations. This includes overseeing staff releases, insurance matters, and crucial considerations like those related to COVID-19.
Furthermore, I have effectively acted as a bridge between the channel's commercial team and the production company, providing project highlights and updates. My commitment to ensuring a seamless flow of communication and adherence to project requirements has been unwavering throughout my career in the entertainment industry.
