In the court of law, there are so many committees and schemes which are being introduced by the Government for the welfare of the economic and socially backward people.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
The year was 2016 I was a college freshman & I still remember the first day of college, wandering hither and thither, surrounded by strangers. I felt I was Alice in Wonderland; so much to see, so much to explore, full of fears, and unsure of the future.
Life is like a roller coaster; full of twists and turns, ups and downs, and full of surprises. But when life’s journey is smooth, life is beautiful. Our college life is just as exciting, where we experience ups and downs like being on a roller coaster ride. I have been a meritorious student since college time.
With only a couple of months in, I realized that my 'college life' did not promise anything exciting.
That was when I ventured beyond the college portals and started looking for internships (Yeah, that's a thing, internships are not meant only for summer breaks!)
Luckily, I landed a Law firm internship even without any prior professional experience. The job was low-paying and really burdensome, to say the least. But that was my first experience.
After college passes in 2021, Just like any other profession, it can be hard for a lawyer to find employment after graduation. Going to law school is not a guarantee that you’ll be able to find a job right away or that the position you’ll land will be a gold mine. Law schools also cost a lot of money meaning that even lawyers have to pay off student loans just like the rest of the population who went to college. I started out with less-paying Law firms mainly to gain experience, but now I have enough experience to deal with clients.
Probably one of the most perpetuated myths about lawyers is that all of them are liars and unethical. Contrary to popular belief, lawyers are held to a higher standard of honesty and integrity. Lawyers take an oath and bar associations across the country have their own set of rules that a lawyer must adhere to. One of the reasons behind this myth still being widely accepted is that lawyers are the people you go to at the lowest points of your life.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?
My journey as a content creator begins in March 2023. Not getting enough responses after starting the content creator journey for more than 6 months Still, I make content with consistency. Then suddenly my reels went viral, and people liked the law awareness content and understanding the importance of law in daily life.
Being a content creator is not easy, but one of the most realistic ways is first to learn more about the legal field. One has to stay true to their audience/readers/viewers and at the same time create content that is both impactful
All creators have felt this at some point in their content creation journey, and the feeling never fully goes away because there will always be people with larger followings or better engagement. This is something I struggle with.
At last hard work always pays off, I was awarded in many events for raising awareness about laws in my content.
3. What impact do you want to make in the world?
As a legal content creator, I want to making an impact in Legal awareness. Emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain are poised to further transform legal processes, offering even greater efficiency, security
Legal awareness helps to promote consciousness of legal culture, participation in the formation of laws and the rule of law. Public legal education, sometimes called civics education, comprises a range of activities intended to build public awareness and skills related to law and the justice system.
So that's my whole motto for making legal awareness content.
4. How can be people aware of the laws?
Legal awareness is sometimes even called Public legal education; it is the empowerment of individuals regarding issues involving the law. It helps to promote consciousness of legal culture; participation in the formation of laws and the rule of law. Legal awareness can empower people who demand justice, accountability, and effective remedies at all levels. We all know that India is a country that is unfrequented with illiteracy, poverty, and innocuousness of a wide range of people; it is in a position to bring awareness to the people in every matter.
Here, in each and every person no matter what level of illiteracy, they should be be made aware of the basic law of the country. Awareness through the legal aid system and also its schemes needs to be learned by them in the interest of their own good.
In order to serve this purpose and for the welfare of people to enable and serve the purpose of providing awareness many Non Governmental Organizations are often playing an efficient and important role. Those organizations make the people understand their rights and engage them to get or provide free legal aid in court.
In the court of law, there are so many committees and schemes which are being introduced by the Government for the welfare of the economic and socially backward people.
Despite the efforts, there always remains some shortfall and some backlogs in our actions which hold us to help them reach their rights and tap this opportunity. This is mostly due to the lack of awareness among the people. Hence, people even though being illiterate and poor usually not considering of their status, should enhance their right, approach the court and seek justice.
So at last, my motive as a content creator is to make people aware of laws and rights that they didn't know.
5. What does your typical day look like?
I get up at 0530 hrs. Do some exercise yoga. Make breakfast. Get ready. Reach court by 0930 hrs.
Then, in between, we all have our lunch break for an hour. So next, I will work for a while to see if there is anything pending. By 1715–1730 hrs, I leave depending upon the cases listed on that particular day. Come home. Make tea. Which I make in the morning as well. Make dinner and complete it by 2000 hrs.
After that, I have to see the cases and prepare an argument for tomorrow's listed cases.
Sometimes I read a book or watch movies. I have made good friends with colleagues, so sometimes we go for walks in the evenings. That is it.
Since I get a free time, I plan to restart my studies, as I do get a lot of time after work, and maybe I am not very satisfied with my Law profession. Personally, it's very relaxing.
So that's what it is. I sleep by 2200 or 2230 hrs.
6. Which is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is Before Memory Fades: An Autobiography. Fali S. Nariman is a well-known name as he has been involved in many high-profile cases. In Before Memory Fades: An Autobiography, he tells his own story, from his childhood to his days in the Bombay High Court and continues to present his experiences as he rose to higher positions.
Before Memory Fades: An Autobiography reflects his concern for the welfare of the judiciary, his firm conviction in the principles laid down by the constitution, and his views on the troubled relationship between political power and the Judiciary
