Ravika Agarwal Interview
Q. Your content feels very refined and detail-oriented — what does “effortless beauty” actually look like behind the scenes for you?
Effortless beauty is
probably the least effortless thing behind the scenes. For me, it comes down to
paying attention to the small details—maintaining good skincare, understanding
what suits me, and creating looks that feel natural rather than overdone. The
goal is always to make beauty feel approachable and achievable rather than
intimidating.
Q. How has your understanding of beauty changed after working so closely with global brands and trends?
Earlier, I believed beauty
was largely about following trends. Over time, working with global brands and
observing beauty cultures from around the world taught me that beauty is really
about self-expression. There is no single definition of beauty, and trends come
and go, but confidence and authenticity always remain timeless.
Q. In a space driven by aesthetics, how do you ensure your personality doesn’t get overshadowed by the visuals?
I consciously try to share
the person behind the content. Whether it's my travel experiences, personal
opinions, everyday moments, or even things that don’t go according to plan, I
want people to connect with me as a human being first and a creator second.
While beautiful visuals may capture attention, it is personality and
authenticity that truly build a lasting community.
Q. You’ve shared parts like your dental journey — what makes you decide, “this is something I want my audience to see”?
If something is genuinely
part of my life and has the potential to help someone feel more confident or
less alone, I’m comfortable sharing it. My dental journey is one such example.
It’s personal, real, and reminds people that beauty is not about perfection—it’s
about growth, self-improvement, and embracing the process.
Q. What’s one beauty myth you personally believed in the beginning but completely disagree with now?
One of the biggest myths I
believed was that more products automatically lead to better results. Over
time, I’ve realised that consistency and understanding your skin’s actual needs
matter far more than having an extensive collection of products. Simplicity and
knowledge often work better than excess.
Q. When you attend big events or festivals, do you approach them as a creator, a consumer, or someone just enjoying the moment?
Honestly, it’s a mix of
all three. The creator in me naturally notices stories, trends, and content
opportunities. The beauty enthusiast enjoys discovering new products and
innovations. At the same time, the person in me simply wants to enjoy the
experience, be present, and create meaningful memories. Balancing all three
perspectives is what makes those moments enjoyable.
Q. What kind of legacy do you want to leave in the beauty space beyond just content?
More than anything, I want
to inspire confidence. If someone feels more comfortable in their own skin,
feels encouraged to express themselves, or gains the confidence to embrace
their individuality because of my content, that would be far more meaningful to
me than numbers, views, or followers.
Q. If your life right now was a luxury beauty campaign, what would its tagline be and what mood/visual aesthetic would define it?
My tagline would be:
"Evolving Gracefully."
The visual aesthetic would
reflect soft luxury with a modern edge—clean beauty, warm golden lighting,
elegant fashion, travel-inspired moments, and an overall feeling of quiet
confidence. At its core, the story would be about growth, self-discovery, and becoming
the best version of yourself while enjoying every step of the journey.
