Varenya Penne Interview
“I want more women to unapologetically do whatever they truly want with their lives.”
Known for her passion for heavy lifting, motorcycles, and unapologetic self-expression, Varenya Penne has built a platform rooted in confidence and resilience. She reveals the unseen discipline behind her lifestyle and the message she hopes every woman takes away from her journey.
Q. How did your journey into fitness, biking, and content creation begin and which of these passions came into your life first?
I would honestly attribute most of my passions and even a part of my journey into content creation to my father. When he was my age, he was a Karate Black Belt, and I grew up watching him perform push-ups, pull-ups, and maintain an incredible level of discipline and awareness towards his health and fitness.
At the same time, I also witnessed his love for motorcycles and exploration. He always had this
enthusiasm for discovering new places and embracing experiences beyond routine life. Apart
from that, he’s also an author of multiple books, which taught me the importance of expression
through different forms of art, whether it’s dance, writing, poetry, or now, social media content.
Fitness was the first passion that entered my life, and everything else eventually became an
extension of that lifestyle. In many ways, biking and content creation became natural by-
products of my relationship with fitness and self-growth.Q. Your bio says, “I lift heavy, and ride a heavier motorcycle” - what does strength and independence personally mean to you beyond just fitness and biking?
For me, strength and independence go far beyond physical ability. There’s a very empowering
feeling in walking into a room and knowing that you’re living life a little differently from the
conventional path most people settle into.
Fitness, for me, translates into confidence - a confidence I carry with me everywhere, even while riding. Motorcycling, on the other hand, represents freedom. It’s the freedom to decide where I want to go, when I want to leave, and how I want to experience life on my own terms. When you consistently push yourself to achieve things society often labels as “tough,” you gradually build a deep sense of self-security and resilience. And once that inner confidence is developed, it becomes very difficult for external opinions or circumstances to take it away from you.
Q. As a woman in spaces like heavy lifting and motorcycling, did you ever face stereotypes or judgment? How did you learn to block out the noise and keep going?
Absolutely. Both fitness and motorcycling are still largely perceived as male-dominated spaces,
so stereotypes and judgment are unfortunately very common. Even today, I continue to
encounter harsh opinions and assumptions simply because I choose to exist confidently in these spaces.
But honestly, I’ve learned to see that resistance differently over time. There’s a saying I truly
resonate with: “If nobody hates what you’re doing, you’re probably doing something wrong.” I
genuinely believe part of my purpose is to challenge and break stereotypes. So instead of
allowing negativity to stop me, I use it as motivation to continue moving forward and doing
exactly what I love.
Q. What does a typical day in your life look like when you’re balancing workouts, rides, content creation, and everything happening behind the scenes?
Hectic - that’s honestly the simplest way to describe it.
Most days, I try to balance one or two of my passions - or as I like to call them, my “side quests”- at a time. Some days revolve around riding and creating content, while others are focused on workouts alongside managing my office responsibilities. So my schedule is usually a constant mix of things happening simultaneously, with Sundays being my only proper rest days. And truthfully, there are days when it becomes extremely overwhelming and exhausting.
But then there are also days when everything feels incredibly rewarding. The adrenaline, the
endorphins, the satisfaction of doing what you genuinely love - those moments make all the
chaos worth it.
Q. A lot of people online only see the exciting side of this lifestyle. What’s one challenge or reality people don’t usually talk about when it comes to fitness or biking content?
I think people often underestimate how much discipline both fitness and biking truly require
behind the scenes. Fitness is not motivation-driven all the time - it’s deeply rooted in consistency and discipline. As a woman especially, there are days when hormonal cycles make things physically and mentally more difficult than usual. But regardless of how tired or unmotivated I may feel, I still have to show up for myself. Similarly, solo riding comes with its own challenges. Riding alone on Indian roads demands constant alertness and hyper-vigilance. You always have to remain cautious and mentally prepared, irrespective of where you’re travelling.
Social media often showcases only the glamorous side of these lifestyles, but what audiences
don’t always see is the planning, effort, discipline, exhaustion, and grind happening quietly in the background.
Q. Your content feels very confident and unapologetically “you.” Has creating content changed your personality or self-confidence in any way?
Absolutely. Constantly putting yourself out on the internet for public judgment inevitably
changes you as a person. The kind of content I create, whether it’s fitness, biking, or simply
being outspoken online, naturally attracts both appreciation and criticism. Alongside
compliments comes trolling, unsolicited opinions, and hate.
Over time, that experience definitely makes you more thick-skinned. But at the same time, it also pushes you to work harder, improve consistently, and keep proving to yourself that you have the strength and resilience to continue growing despite the noise. In many ways, content creation has strengthened both my confidence and my mindset.
Q. What’s next for you from here - any dream collaborations, riding goals, fitness milestones, or exciting projects you’re looking forward to?
Right now, I’m not particularly focused on collaborations. More than anything, I genuinely hope my content reaches the right audience and inspires more women to pursue whatever they truly want to do with their lives and time without fear or hesitation. As for riding goals, one dream I deeply hope to fulfil someday is touring Ladakh on my motorcycle. That’s definitely high on my bucket list.
And of course, like every creator, I also hope to one day hit the 1 million milestone. It would be
incredibly fulfilling to see the journey grow to that scale while still staying authentic to who I
am.
