1. Tell us more about your roles & responsibilities in your society?
Talking about my roles and responsibilities in society, the past two years of my college life has been a perfect blend of ups and downs. As I hold the role of President of Photography society of my college, my major roles and responsibilities includes conducting meetings, workshops and photo-walks around Delhi for the members of the society. A lot of official work pertaining to seeking permission and funds from the college authorities, setting up collaboration between the other society's and college is also an important duty. I am giving my best without letting anyone down for trusting in me.

2. What is it like to juggle between a leadership role & a normal college life?
Sometimes it’s so difficult to handle both the roles. A lot of hard work needs to be put in to perfectly manage my lectures and society's work side by side. With the work pressure that comes along with the presidentship of mine I need to manage my college studies which sometimes get a bit difficult. But at the end of the day that's what I signed up for and I try to manage both to best of my knowledge.

3. As a leader in your college society, what challenges did you face & how did you overcome them?
Being a leader isn't easy as it comes with lots of responsibility. My words, my actions, my decisions have a direct impact on society members as well as my work so I always try stay to positive and try to create a healthy working environment for my society members. To overcome this problem, I think and take my decisions logically and after analysing everything and promote team work as well so as to make everyone feel valued here.

4. What are your career goals & how is your present role going to help you with that?
I don't want to be a professional photographer. But it's my hobby to explore and click pictures. But being the President of a society gives you lots of exposure in your life. You get to know various marketing strategies, meet new people and learn something from them every day. It has taught me various things such as how to raise funds for an event, how to be a good leader, how to be a good multitasker and how to work under pressure. This has enhanced my capabilities and has helped me in polishing my various skills and has also helped in boosting my morale!

5. Do you have a message for parents to allow their kids to do things besides academics?
Parents should understand the value and importance of extra-curricular activities and should encourage their child to actively participate in extra-curricular rather than just sitting between these four walls of classroom. Education is important but you cannot force a student to just read books and become intelligent. Co-curricular activities are important just like academics. When a student is made to do academics and co-curricular activities then only a well-rounded development of a student is done.

6. What’s your message to encourage students to do internships & attend conferences?

Internships help to enhance the overall development of the student in terms of communication skills and also gives the practice of tackling various situations of the market in real time. So basically, internships should be made compulsory with the graduation courses and each student must undergo for at least a period of 6 months to 1 year in a certain firm or organisation based on his or her course requirement.
