We all have been going through the precautions and means of fighting Corona. Now let us  see the comical side of Corona streaming through the media.

Corona trolls
Just go through Instagram or Facebook page and you will be entertained by funny memes and trolls. In fact, I could sense that Corona was being ‘trolled' to death. A video of politicians protesting against Corona went viral recently. The slogan ‘Go Corona' became the adopted theme of latest trolls. Thereby a matter of much gravity was given a funny touch.

Body Shaming of Corona
Another source of fun was the act of body shaming of Corona. Millions of posts went viral asserting that the structure of Corona resembled an edible fruit, Rambutan. This again provided a chance for the troll makers to lend a humorous face to Corona. How insulted poor Corona might have felt? It would probably have started packing for its departure.

Corona: A Mental Mess
The lockdown period is driving people crazy. Experts say that it is completely normal if we find ourselves talking to the walls or mirror. But we are advised to contact a psychologist if they start speaking to us. This may appear funny in the first go. But if we give it some thought, it takes the shape of a psychological disorder that can grip anybody who is trapped in the house for days together. This happens when we sit idle thinking that there is nothing left to do for one who is under quarantine. This sickens our mind and we start to behave abnormally. On an impulse, some may even step out of the house unmindful of the consequences. It is not because they are unaware of the seriousness of the pandemic, but because of their mental frustration.

Corona Pranks
Following the lockdown, policemen have covered all the area to lock the violators. A comical incident happened when a violator was caught. He was so desperate and said with tears in his eyes that he could not help stepping out. His brother in law had passed away and the poor man was compelled to break the rule. The policemen in order to confirm his justification dialed his residential number. Interestingly, it was his claimed- to -be dead brother in law who attended the call. Hope the following events are predictable.

The clock is alive always
But those who don’t lose their cool and think of every possible ways to keep their clock ticking stick to some funny and strange plays. For example, somebody posted on Facebook that it was her birthday and immediately she started receiving calls from her contacts. She just enjoyed the fun and never bothered to tell them that it was a lie. That was how she spent her time.
Similarly, friends keep trolling each other and circulating their old funny pics online just for fun. This is also the time when people reconnect with their old buddies. Video calls and conference calls keep people glued together. With the help of technology, there is no way people feel alienated.

New doors open up in Corona days
Likewise, people resort to unfamiliar things and plays they have never ever tried in their lives to keep going. Artists have a fairly good time in the quarantine period. Corona dances, Corona songs and even poetry and short story writings on Corona are becoming prominent.
Recently, Kerala Police uploaded a Corona dance. It is basically an instructional video to enlighten the public of the manner of washing hands. Strict warnings from the government seem to shake no one. So the police resorted to innovative ways like these to reach out to the public.
This is also the time we get the chance to see every business magnets, college professors and engineers playing snake and ladder, hide and seek with their kids. It seems like there is no end to Tik Tok videos. The official pages of actors are looming large with their quarantine special acts and video call screenshots. WhatsApp groups are throwing us puzzles and Sudoku to solve. Personality tests, friendship dares and challenges run through the media just to keep the users entertained and engaged.

Corona lays its gruesome hands on our diet
Shawarma, Tandoori, Alfa ham, Kunafa, Kebab, Butter Chicken, Biriyani, Hot Dog, Sizzlers, Desserts, Waffles, Shakes, Seafood, French food, Parathas and the endless list of food items are also under quarantine. You can just visit the food blogs and recipes and let the ship sail on your tongue.
It is easy to try new recipes at home but considering the limited availability of food items, people have switched to more traditional and easily available food made from their kitchen garden itself.  Thus Corona has managed to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. Posts showing Corona laughing at the arrogant ones is a reminder for all of us. Tapioca, vegetables, chutneys, plain bread and butter, black tea and traditional items of certain regions etc, now outshine the exotic menu of modern man.

Conclusion
For all who possess an optimistic mind can take the quarantine period lightly and also make it fruitful and creative. Panicking is not going to effect a change. All the fun games are intended to cool all anxiety-ridden souls and freshen the locked up minds.
Let us all hope for the best and evolve as new human beings. Corona is certainly going to be a history and the earth is preparing to roll out the red carpet for us. Then, it is our duty to nurture it with care and love.
