Coffee is a beverage that is relished by many. The global consumption of coffee a year sums up to about 145 million bags. So, it would be an understatement to say that people just like coffee, no scratch that- people LOVE coffee. Some find it hard to start or end their day without it. In case, you're a 'coffee lover' you're at the right place!

There are many types of coffees- they differ based on their ingredients, methods, culture, etc. I'm sure you may have tasted/ consumed a great deal of coffee, perhaps even of a different kind. But maybe just maybe you may have missed out on some. If you have, then fret, not. Here is a list of coffee you should try if you haven't already.

1. Café Cubano

Café Cubano is a coffee espresso originating in Cuba. It is also known as Cuban Espresso or cafecito. Café Cubano is usually made with dark roasted finely ground coffee beans and while brewing its is sweetened with demerara sugar.

2. Red Eye, Black Eye and Dead Eye Coffee

These coffees are a combination of a normal drip coffee and espresso. The variations of a Red Eye Coffee are Black Eye Coffee and Dead Eye Coffee. Red Eye Coffee is a mixture of a normal drip coffee with one shot of espresso, similarly, a Black Eye Coffee with two and Dead Eye Coffee with three shots of espresso.

3. Affogato

Affogato is not just a coffee, it is also a coffee-based dessert! It originates in Italy and is served both as a beverage as well as a dessert. It is pretty easy to prepare and people who like ice cream will enjoy this. First, a scoop of a gelato/ vanilla ice cream (or any ice cream of your choice) is placed in a cup or a bowl. 
Slowly, pour a shot of hot espresso over it and then top it with anything you wish to- for instance, chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, caramel or chocolate sauce, toasted hazelnut or pistachios, etc.

4. Moroccan Spiced Coffee

As the name suggests, this coffee is a blend of spices and coffee. The aromatic spices like cardamom, black pepper, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves etc bring an exotic flavour to the coffee. The Spice Coffee, originating in Morocco can be brewed according to your preference. You may serve it as per your desires.

5. Mazagran Coffee

Mazagran is a town in Algeria where the Mazagran Coffee originates. It is a sugared coffee which is served with ice cubes. The exact version of the Mazagran Coffee is popular in Portugal. The Portuguese Mazagran Coffee is also called the Iced Coffee Lemonade. It is prepared with ice, coffee, lemon juice and a sweetener. On some occasions, the Portuguese Mazagran Coffee may also include rum.

6. Caffè Macchiato

The Italian word Macchiato means "spotted" in English. Caffè Macchiato also known as Espresso Macchiato, it is a beverage made up of espresso and a blob of foamed milk. Espresso Macchiato originates in Italy.

7. Vietnamese Coconut Coffee

Vietnamese Coconut Coffee may sound a little different than the one's already mentioned on this list. It is a blend of coconut cream, coffee, and condensed cream. If you wish to serve it chilled, you can also add ice to it.

8. Breve

You most probably know what's a latte but if you don't- it is coffee made with espresso and steamed milk. An American version of it is called Caffe Breve or Breve. It is a fluffy drink made with just two ingredients- half and half (whole milk and heavy cream) along with espresso. First, espresso is poured into a cup, to which half and half is then added. Lastly, rich foam is topped onto this creamy beverage.

9. Vienna Coffee

The ingredients of a Viennese Coffee include strong black espresso, whipped cream, chocolate sprinklings or cocoa powder, etc. You start by preparing the espresso in a cup, filling it with whipped cream up to the brim. If you desire, you can top it with cocoa powder or chocolate sprinklings.

10. Türk Kahvesi or Turkish Coffee

Made with finely ground coffee, water and a sweetener (optional sugar)- Turkish Coffee or Türk Kahvesi is a thick and aromatic coffee. It is cooked slowly by mixing cold water and coffee. You may also add ground cardamom or sugar if you'd like.
