1. Tell us about your background and journey.

First of all hi everyone.I am Soumili & I am a full time Fashion blogger.I come from a family where mostly everyone is a doctor or engineer or scientists. Even my dad is a doctor and I guess one can feel the pressure when you decide to not pursue with a full time secure job.But honestly my parents has always been supportive and am very great-full for that.

Talking about my journey, I firstly started with writing blogs about fashion & beauty back in 2018 and then slowly I started posting outfit pictures on Instagram and that’s how I became a full time Blogger. 

I can’t believe It has already been 2 years being on this platform.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

I wanted to start my own blog from a very beginning of my age. But unfortunately I didn’t have the enough courage to start one.

Back in 2018 there was a event held in south city and one of my favourite blogger came as a guest of honour. It really inspired me a lot & at that particular moment I knew it was the time to start my own.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

Everyone with a good decent followings can be an influencer but to become a blogger you need to write blogs irrespective of any niches. 

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

It completely depends on one person to another. After doing 2 years of blogging, I can say I am financially sustainable now. But I wasn’t a year ago. The more you work hard , the more you do campaigns, the more you earn.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

It depends on how you socialise. Your personality, your personal interests. Also 

Age and life-cycle have potential impact on the consumer buying behaviour.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

The main Mantra can be the love for your passion. If you don’t love what you do then am pretty sure you can’t go for a long race. 

Also very important, never allow the numbers to affect you.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

You need to be consistent, try to follow the trends, be aware what’s happening in the social media & last but not least do not copy others. Take inspiration and create your own magic.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

The 3 things I strongly believe are:

Like Attracts Like. Nature Abhors a Vacuum. The Present is Always Perfect.

So it has to be the book “The Secret”. I totally believe in the law of attraction.
