Prepaid cards can be used at ATMs. These prepaid cards issued by any informal firm can take your money from your account. Since these cards are issued by private entities, they keep an eye on all the transactions the cardholder does. Hence, one should not rely on these firms which issue their own prepaid cards. 

5. Ploutus-D

There are a number of malware available in the market which are specially designed for ATM hacking. One of the malware that has been recently used in recent ATM attacks is Ploutus-D. The malware comprises important components of a well-known multivendor ATM software and gains control of hardware devices like the cash dispenser, card reader, and pin pad. This means that any hacker can dispense all the cash in the machine in a matter of seconds. The source code of Ploutus-D along with detailed instructions are now being sold on various marketplaces on the dark web.

Daily, a large number of people fall prey to ATM hacking. One can read about their stories and cases on the internet and be safe. There are a number of tutorials and real-world case studies available on a number of forums. There is a detailed tutorial on an underground hacking forum discussing how bank accounts can be compromised using botnets.
