1. Tell us more about
your background and journey.
I am a post graduate
student. I am a classical dancer and I love to dance and learned this skill
during my school days since the age of 8.
2. When did you first
decide you wanted to pursue dancing and how did you start?
I had this dance class
in my school and this passion towards dance started after seeing my teacher
performing her talent in the school annual day and this grew gradually by
seeing my peers dancing.
3. Who is your
favorite dancer and why?
Mrs. Shobana
Chandrakumar and Mrs.Meena (my dance teacher) are my favorites. The latter
taught me to dance and the former inspired me a lot with her expressions.
4. Can you throw some
light on opportunities one gets as a dancer?
As a dancer, we get many
opportunities starting from a school competition to a stage performance. But it
is very important to use each and every stage as an opportunity and to exhibit
the talent.
5. Is format training
required or can one train themselves purely on the basis of talent?
On the basis of talent,
one can learn to dance but to excel in a field, a formal and a proper training
is required.
6. What piece of
advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?
My suggestions to the
artists out in the world are do not miss even a small space you get to showcase
your talent. It might help you a lot. That small space or the stage can be the
stepping stones for greater heights.
7. Which is your
favorite book and why?
I prefer thriller novels
and the recent one I read was the girl in room 105 by Chetan Bhagat.
