What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
The Passion for food and Taste was always there and was basically ignited by a cousin of mine, and I still have memories of us traversing through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk in our college days and trying anything and everything we saw there. So an idea came to my mind to why not share this with people and this is how Feasting_whiz came into existence.
How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
There are a lot many people out there who may believe that there is not much difference between a blogger and an influencer, but I won’t agree with them. A blogger is a one who creates content around a particular niche or a topic of his comfortability on his own blog site or for his company. Whereas on the other hand, an influencer is a person who has established some kind of credibility in a specific industry and has the power to affect the decisions of the consumer.
Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Going by the current trend these days, there has been a massive increase in the number of influencers due to various new social media apps such as TikTok, helo etc. the competition has become immense now and so has the earnings decreased drastically. So What I would advise is to start this as part-time work or hobby along with your full-time job and then decide if you could make a full-time career out of it.
What do you think influences consumer behaviour?
Consumer behaviour is not dependent on a single factor these days, as consumers, these days are very intelligent. All thanks to the cheap internet plans and mobiles, everyone is driven by the power of google. Social media is, of course, a very important factor which influences consumer behaviour, as people nowadays spend a majority of their time on it. Marketing Campaigns and peer influence is also playing a major rule. The consumer knows brands are paying influencers for the promotion of the product or service, so these days they also do a bit of research on their side before getting influenced.
Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
Everything comes with a positive and negative side and it is really up to us, how we behave and react to that. So this decision initially has been disliked by the majority of people, but keeping in mind about the toll it has been taking on the mental health of some individuals, as published in research, it may be a good decision to remove likes. Now Posts will be driven by their quality and not by the no of likes. But as there is a negative side too, people may buy followers to fulfil their dream of becoming a celebrity overnight and there would be no metric to judge the authenticity.
What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
The Ideal success Mantra for me would be to work hard and don’t care about what other thinks of you. You will definitely be rewarded for your work if you stay true to yourself. Don’t be too caught up in the past and also don’t think too much of the future.

I have done my B.Tech in Computer science and currently working with an IT Firm as Analyst and when I am not playing with Data, you can find me hogging food at any new and exciting eating place in town. I also like to travel and love to take roads less travelled.
