Insights on Instagram by an Influencer: Pooja Jaggi

What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
Hardcorefoodie5 is a two-year baby now but as go back in time, I realized the only reason I started this page was, that I wanted to engage my self with something creative while staying at home with my kids.
Hardcorefoodie5 is all about food that I love. I'm trying to create easy recipe videos that help people and make cooking easy for them. And also help them realize that healthy home-cooked food can be as delicious as we get in restaurants outside.
I also share my food experiences from various old and new restaurants that I really like and would want people to try.

How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
A blogger is an influencer that influences audiences through the blog content. A person who is very regular with his/her blog and the audience looks forward to the blog's content for suggestions, ideas, thoughts, etc.
Influencer alone can be somebody who influences online.

Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
In the world of social media, financial stability actually comes with time, patience, and consistency. It takes time to make your mark and create an audience for yourself and obviously it takes time to be financially sustainable as an influencer. It sometimes takes years to reach that level where brands start approaching you for their product promotions via your platform.
You need to be really patient, creative, and consistent with your blog to be able to attract what you wish to.

What do you think influences consumer behavior?
According to my other purchasing powers, things that definitely influence consumer behavior are various social media platforms and advertising. Both are playing this vital role where consumers can be easily convinced of certain things.

Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
Actually, we become used to certain things and feel that how are we gonna survive without them. The same is with this as the feature of Instagram. I think the change has always been there and will lead to something new, so I'm looking forward to it.

What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
My idea of success is, enjoying a happy and content life.
Facing each day with a smile and moving on.

After completing BBA(Banking & Insurance) from Maharaja Agrasen college, IPU, I got married and had my first child very early. But I really wanted to continue my education so I did my PGDBA(HR) while I started to work part-time as a soft skills trainer.
Then later joined NIIT Foundation and was promoted as Center manager over the span of 4 years. After working there for almost 5years when was about to have my second child ( had a nuclear family), I had to leave my job and my ambition, till I could settle my mother's priorities.
But working full time became tough and a fairytale for me, so I thought of starting with my food blog 2 years back to have some creative life. Amid all hectic schedules, I could still manage to work on my blog because it bought happiness to me. Today when I look back I feel it was one of the best decisions of my life.
