1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am Aastha Thakur and I have done Masters in Law from National Law Institute University, Bhopal and I am Rishabh Bhandari and I have done B.Tech in Information Technology from Amity University, Noida. We are blogging for about 3 and half years now and it has been a roller coaster ride full of learning, obstacles and moments of cherish.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

We both had this urge to explore places and food and any photo or content per se was only for snap chat stories or to keep a moment of remembrance, We met a few people with unconventional careers during a confluence in our college which gave us the idea to start our own page and henceforth we began with what you know of today as "Wanderers of Delhi".

3. Is vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?

To be honest with Youtube’s new guidelines for eligibility of monetization of the channel it is certainly difficult for new creators. You need 1000 subscribers and most importantly 4000 watch hours in 12 months which can be quite a task in the initial days of vlogging.

To answer the question, it is a sustainable career but only if you are committed to it 24x7 and ready for a scabrous journey.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Tanmay Bhat and Prajakta Kohli (MostlySane) are the creators who have been all out. Be it with Tanmay’s streaming, reaction videos and vlogs or Prajakta’s daily routine especially during the lock-down, has been totally out of the box. Even their dedication for the consistency is appreciable.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

The relevance and relatability with the audience plays the most pivotal role in deciding the content. We do polls and Q&As with our audience to know what they would like to see on our social media handles.

Even our followers’ comments, messages and reactions to our stories and posts motivates us to make content daily.

6. What does your typical day look like?

Usually our days used be to hectic with lots of travel, content creation, shooting, editing but, for now since we all are in lock-down we are shooting more recipes at home and trying to provide the best dishes to our followers.

Apart from this, our daily struggle to maintain our weight and stay fit has always been constant.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

I am a big fan of Stephen King. My most favorite book of his is definitely ‘The Shining’. It can creep the hell out of anyone and it is beautifully written. It is more horrifying than any movie out there.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

There will be challenges, it is not an easy path to go along. Be confident, trust your skills and your content, always be open to learn new ways and most important be consistent. There will be good times and bad times but consistency is the key.
