Enjoy The Process And Focus on Learning - Aqueel Khan

There are two sides to this, you start it as your passion and continue doing what you like for passion and never worry about what comes your way. Or. You start it out as a passion and then it grows on you and you start looking for venues and opportunities to earn from it.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am for a qualified interior designer in Mumbai and currently working and also doing freelance. I moved to Mumbai for my studies and when I saw the live around here, each moment had a story and I was keen on capturing them.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

So it all started in 2019, like I said the life in Mumbai where everyone is on the run and each moment has a story of its self. I always moved around the roads or the metro or even the train and every time I moved my gaze I saw a opportunity to capture. And this developed my love for photography.

3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?

There are two sides to this, you start it as your passion and continue doing what you like for passion and never worry about what comes your way. Or. You start it out as a passion and then it grows on you and you start looking for venues and opportunities to earn from it.

Now is it’s a stable source, no. Today what I may post will be liked by 1000s but if what I am posting tomorrow may only be liked by 100. Stability on social media platforms is a gambler. But one thing is for sure, keep trying and keep hustling because you never know when your luck star will shine.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

My favourite is Afeef bhai, insta Handel is @_Mr.Lensman . The reason he is my favourite is because he is the most hardworking, dedicated person towards photography. His passion is shown in each click each post each slomo video he does. The stories he post on Instagram are the catching eyeballs and it’s a dream of many to click and post suck clicks.

Many photographers are out there who are hardworking and dedicated but what sets him apart is attitude his humble nature and the urge to be perfect. He never reframes from helping anyone. And once you have a small conversation with him it’s like you know him from ages.
Do check his work, he never never lets anyone down.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Like I mentioned earlier, the streets are full of opportunities. All you need it the eye of observation.
And also Afeef bhai.

6. What does your typical day look like?

Aaahhh, so I am working. So I have office ( WFH) from 10:am to 7:00pm so I am busy design rooms and buildings and playing with 3d stuff. And after office I usually chill, do a bit of photography, talk to my friends and family or listen to music.

This is the usual me.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

Honestly, don’t like reading. I prefer watching movies and web series.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Don’t run after followers and numbers. Enjoy the process more than any thing else. Learn each day. Try to work on improving your self each day. No matter how hard it gets because numbers will only come with content.

Keep clicking, keep leaving and keep trying.
