I Have Always Been a Burger Lover - Suraj Nambiar

I have literally tried burgers at most places in Bangalore and I can never put a stop to it and shall travel the world in search of that perfect burger out there.

1. Tell us about your background and journey?

Hello, I'm Suraj Nambiar and I'm a Bangalorean. I've done my MBA which is specialized in the field of Marketing & International Business.

Coming to my journey here this one is a bit long so kindly hold on to your patience hahaha, so I think as far as I can remember I was always a foodie but realised it externally, hahaha! I used to hang out at various Cafes, Pubs & Restaurants and upload pictures literally every day on my personal page.

My friends used to tell me then why don't you open up your own Food page and that's how Bangalore Foodtales happened (Even with research on other aspects related to Instagram before officially making the page go live on the Gram.)

2. What led you to do food blogging?

Well, to be honest, I always wanted to have a food page of my own somewhere in the back of my head but had no real intentions on actually making it go live. But as I had mentioned before I had a lot of responses coming externally to open up a food page and I made it happen and now here I am.

So thanks to those external forces out there (you know who you are) and that's what led me to do food blogging (apart from the fact that I am a big foodie).

3. What does your typical day look like?

Okay, so the first thing I do when I wake up from my bed has a cup of detox tea/drink and get some me time and then I start with my regular morning routine and watch some anime for motivation and basically bring out the kid in me, then I grab onto my breakfast and laptop to read new articles and upskill myself in the field of marketing.

Coming to the later part of my day, I make content and execute it for brands that I work with as I am an influencer. I still play the role of a creator as well on the side. And then my day is pretty much as normal as the guy next door.

I love to spend time with my loved ones and just like to lead a regular life with them and that's what real happiness is for me. This is my typical day.

4. When did you first decide that you wanted to create and write content about food i.e. for blogging?

The right answer to that would be only a year ago, I started with Content Creating and Writing. Before that my page used to be the go-to page for any good Food & Beverage recommendations.

Started content writing only by trying out new stuff for the page which might add value onto someone's life and hence that's how content writing and content creation started out to me.

5. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

Hahaha, 'a dish?' I don't think just a dish would be associated with myself. There are a lot. But since you've asked for a dish then I would say Burgers is something that I particularly associate myself with as I have always been a Burger lover.

I have literally tried Burgers at most places in Bangalore and I can never put a stop to it and shall travel the world in search of that perfect burger out there. Burgers are something that keeps me going and I need to have at least 2-3 Burgers a week to keep my cravings intact, hahaha! but yeah, Burgers are something that I particularly associate myself with.

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

Honestly, I've never been a book lover. Although I am more of a comic book reader. I am into Sci-Fi Superhero/ Supervillain Comic books as I find that to be my escape from the real world and find myself in the world of Superheroes. My Favourite Superhero Comic Book has always been Flashpoint from Flash Series of Comics by DC.

However coming to books that are not comics well if I had to read then it would definitely be "The Dalai Lama's little book of Inner Peace: The Essential Life and Teachings" as a lot of my friends who are book readers suggest this book a lot and it's also all about your Inner Peace which is important to have I believe.
