Life of an Entrepreneur - Steve Jobs

 


An American entrepreneur- ‘Steve jobs’ was adopted by Paul and Clara jobs. He achieved success with a unique journey. There were so many ups and downs in his life and the way he tackled the pangs and toils make him remarkable and versatile.

“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do’’ this quotation somehow defines his roller coaster career life.


Childhood

During his childhood he loved to do lots of pranks, as he came to know that he was adopted and was bullied by his school friends, he converted his terrified feelings in to braveness.

He said that he was a special person and happy with his biological parents. He accepted his adoptive parents with devotion.


Teenage

Steve jobs wanted to find his purpose of life for that he visited India and meet some monks and finally he found the right spiritual monk (Neem Karodi baba). By taking drugs during his teenage, he said that he became more creative.

He would not take bath for weeks as he reasoned, being a vegetarian, as he said to his peers.


Two Steve’s

Today Apple inc. exists because of Steve jobs, although, Apple 1 was invented by Steve Wozniak. Steve Wozniak was one of the hobbyists, who didn’t know how to built a company, he was not interested in the business aspects and liked to stick with technology.

Steve Jobs was a good friend of Wozniak who introduced his technology to the world and created an organization.


Start-up Stage

Steve Jobs was a college drop-out and wanted to create an organization with the invention of Apple1 by Steve Wozniak. Jobs started his company in his father’s garage and tried to build it and he achieved success.

On April 1, 1976 Apple computer was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Wayne, who worked at Atari as a chief draftsman, agreed to become co-founder of the company in return for 10% stake.


Organization

After receiving success, he started to work on different projects such as Lisa, Apple 2 and Mac. He visited Xerox Parc to make his inventions more powerful.

He payed a visit to John Sculley the Chief executive of Pepsi-co company and tried to convince him to join the apple inc. , Moreover ,he mesmerise him with his starring look and a dialogue which was “ do you want to sell this sugar water for lifetime or you want to sell the future’.

Many employees were against Jobs because of his nature. He was behaving like a manic, he blasphemed many employees and said that there work was a piece of shit. Because of this behavior board of directors created a conspiracy to fire him, however, he continued with his behavior and was later mustered off his official duties.


Down's of Life

It was the stage where job’s was fighting with himself because he was removed by his own company. Afterwards, he started his second company PIXAR, he created his first animated movie ‘A Toy Story’ with the help of the Disney company.

He achieved success but also suffered from financial instability. He continued his work and meanwhile Apple was suffering from losses. The stock prices of Apple were decreasing day by day.


Restoration

Steve Jobs was invited to become the CEO of the Apple inc. by the board members because they were undergoing severe losses: he refused because he wanted to focus on Pixar. Afterwards, he agreed to rejoin Apple, however, he wanted to work with his peculiar style.

Members agreed, and on the very first day he took the resignations of the company board members. He worked hard and focused on Pixar as well as Apple. Due to this overload of work, he suffered from health issues. Job’s second coming at Apple raised the stock prices in 1997.

Instead of working on too many projects, he focused on four important projects i.e. Ipad, Iphone, Ipod, and Macbook. He also received success in the retail business of Apple stores. He controlled piracy scams.

The company reached the top in Silicon Valley after Job’s second coming because he introduced great inventions with his mesmerizing stage performances. He ran ‘Think Different’ campaign that boosted employee performances.


Cancer

Steve Jobs suffered from cancer which he tried to hide from the people, but unfortunately, he failed. Many people were afraid because they would soon lose their mentor, a great leader, a genius, a father figure and a hero.

Some-how he dodged the bullet and was cured by the doctors; however, he rejoined office and started to focus to create a legacy. Meanwhile he found Tim Cook who was good in his work and had the talents to be a CEO.

Alas! On 5th of October 2011 at Palo Alto in the United States, Jobs died at the age of 56 after battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade.
