Thomas Finsterbusch - Don't Overthink, Be Happy and Create Content on What Makes You Proud (Photographer from Argentina)

Thomas Finsterbusch

I was always motivated to make memories of my progression in life, so I'm always capturing those moments in life that make me proud of my life. In fact, I started taking pictures on my skaters day, we were riding with my friends and we wanted to do the same tricks and pictures that we see in the magazines.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Well, I'm from Argentina, so I'm always in the crazy third world crisis, that kind of inspires me to travel a lot to see how the world really is an escape from my everyday life. Learn stuff and try to introduce it in my country. I did study advertisement and have always enjoyed creating unique content.

2. What inspired you to become a photographer?

I was always motivated to make memories of my progression in life, so I'm always capturing those moments in life that make me proud of my life. In fact, I started taking pictures on my skaters day, we were riding with my friends and we wanted to do the same tricks and pictures that we see in the magazines.

3. How would you describe your style of photography?

I like to take pictures of the joyful moments of my life, also from amazing backgrounds I travel to, but it all lines up with my progression in life and the way of life I like and enjoy.

4. How do you get new ideas for your blogs?

I don't know about new ideas, it's just what's going on in my life at the moment, I like to show in my images all the things I like about my life, I am not concerned too much about engagement, if I'm on fire in a sport or an activity I like, I will try to get some footage of it, me doing what I'm doing, if it will for engagement my feed will only be about sunsets, my baby boy and my puppies haha. I'm way more than that.

5. How would you describe your passion for action sports?

Well, I'm an active person, 10 years ago I was all about action sports, every weekend, every afternoon every trip was around that, now I still love them, but I'm more into surfing and snowboarding, I mean nice environments, the outdoors are as an important than the sports, actually I'm enjoying just camping, trekking, running, fishing, as long as I'm in a beautiful and peaceful place I'm happy.

6. Who is your favorite photographer and why?

Well, I do a lot of content for work, for my Instagram accounts, I just love to do it and have fun while I'm doing them. I follow a lot of super talented people from around the world, some are people that I know, but I'm not a consumer of social networks to the point of having favorite photographers.

7. What was your most memorable adventure?

Probably Patagonia with friends, just camping and enjoying being in the middle of nowhere, in that amazing place. Also, Oregon camping for two weeks straight and snowboarding in a glacier in the summertime, no shower just the freezing river, good times for sure.

8. Being a blogger what would be your advice to upcoming bloggers?

Don't overthink, be happy, and do content with what makes you proud. Everything else will come along eventually.
