Macedon D'mello - Following a Trend Is Good but Creating a Trend in Your Own Way Is What Makes You a Creator (Digital Content Creator)

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Well to begin with, I’m a Dancer turned actor turned choreographer turned Dance Director turned Creative Producer turned Content Creator. The journey has been amazing! I started off my career as an Actor on a Channel V show called Dil Dosti Dance.. that was my career break. 

From there I went on to do another show called Bindass Naach where my crew desihoppers was formed which went on to win the World of Dance Championship in 2015 held in LA. Well post that I’ve only been travelling and performing worldwide representing the country.


2. What type of content do you enjoy producing the most?

I love producing funny videos. Humour is something that comes naturally to me and I love to make people laugh and be the funniest guy in the room. Dance being my first love, I cannot overlook it. Along with comedy I also love producing a lot of dance related content.


3. Is it financially sustainable to be an digital creator these days?

It all depends on how you take it.. there are a lot of apps where you can showcase your talent and earn a decent amount out of it, all you need to do in venture into it.

4. How can someone become a successful content creator?

Originality is key. If your content isn’t original you will never stand out from the herd. Following a trend is good but creating a trend in your own way is what makes you a creator. Also experimenting with different styles, because you never know what can go viral and consistency.


5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

In my day to day activities, with the people around me. Most of the times I get ideas when I’m having conversations with people.. it may sound really silly and random but I mostly get the bestest ideas when I’m not jamming or thinking about creating content!

6. Who is your favourite creator and why?

Bhuvan Bam.. because he is super original and his scripts are really tight and to imagine and conceptualise so many characters and define them so well and do justice to each of them require sheer brilliance. He’s a one man army.
