Different Perspectives On The Development Of Social Structure

We have come a long way from the nomadic way of life to embracing a civilized lifestyle.

The intelligent and ever-evolving human race has been making strides in development and innovation ever since it's inception. We have developed systematic judiciary, executive and legislative wings of governance.  This systematic way of life has replaced the nomadic, chaotic lifestyle that used to consume the human race. The advent of science of technology has made our lives simpler.

Despite our long developmental strides, we have failed to eliminate our prejudices, biases, discriminative behaviors and many such social discrepancies that have entrenched humanity in a doom.

We often find ourselves criticizing these deeply rooted social notions, but little do we do in terms of assuming responsibility for it or establishing a mechanism to terminate the predominant social evils.

To uproot these social evils, we first have to understand the social construct of the society that bolsters its modern day prevalence.

Development of Social Structure

One Perspective

A hypothesis has been undertaken to understand the formation of society.

Imagine everyone has a weapon which could kill another person and deprive them of his/her wealth, power and right to life.

Such is scenario is bound to propagate mayhem and chaos, which is why a systematic social structure plays a pivotal role in sustenance.

Lawlessness had to be curbed and an efficient system to administer rules and regulations, was the need of the hour. Therefore, the social constructers developed a plan to implement a system which could restore a better quality of life for everyone.

They laid the foundation of education, a basic right for all to climb the ladder of prosperity.

So, even if every person is armed with a weapon dangerous enough to kill somebody, they would have to bear far crucial consequences, by way of a judiciary which could sentence the accused to capital punishment.

Modern society works towards preserving the interests of its citizens but never at the cost of protecting the wrongful acts of another citizen.

However, this is paradoxical given the current state of affairs, where people seemed to have found loopholes to evade consequences of their actions. This is exactly why the social construct of our society had come crumbling down.

Another Perspective

Taking another scenario, imagine if everyone were to have equal wealth and power, the entire purpose of our lives would be lost as we would have nothing to work or strive for, no one would want to engage in any kind of jobs and once again humanity would be gripped in the depths of despair, chaos and lawlessness.

To avoid such a dilemma, we have individually been bestowed with different capabilities, personalities, perspectives and abilities, which we could put to use by way of jobs to achieve success and prosperity.

Aristotle was against equality for the very same reasons. He wanted to lay the foundation of a society that is interdependent on each other and the factors influencing our sustenance.

Inequality is the bitter truth but it's also a necessary evil in our lives.
