Kritika Khurana - I Started My Blogging Career Back When It Wasn’t That Common & Went on to Gain 1.2 Million Followers Today (Blogger From India)

I started posting my OOTD’s, and I’ve always been a banjaran by heart, so my looks were kind of unique and people weren’t used to such styling.. It was then, in college, when I decided I want to pursue this full time, because I was so passionate about it.

Tell us about your background & journey.

I planned to be an architect but I realised that it wasn’t my calling, and I pursued Fashion Design, something I was passionate about for a long time! Went to college, and started my blogging career back when it wasn’t that common.

When did you first decide that you wanted to create digital content and how did you start?

I started posting my OOTD’s, and I’ve always been a banjaran by heart, so my looks were kind of unique and people weren’t used to such styling.. It was then, in college, when I decided I want to pursue this full time, because I was so passionate about it.

Is vlogging and digital content creation a financially sustainable career?

No career is fully guaranteed, but if you put in the work and if you have the dedication in you to make it work, you can reach any height! And if it comes down to how you can make your content creation career financially stable, 3 things to make sure of - Consistency, Creativity, and Consideration (of your audience).

How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Inspiration for my content comes from a lot of sources! Movies, music, places, books, and when I head out, I pay a lot of attention to detail, what people are wearing, how I would style that piece, what I would do with that piece of fabric, and so much more!

What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring digital creators?

As clichéd as it sounds, consistency is key! No matter the response, keep posting, you will be recognised. Start now, don’t wait for the perfect camera, perfect equipment, if you have a way to read this right now, you probably have the means to create your content as well! Happy creation!

Which is your favourite book and why?

You’re a Badass, by Jen Sincero has to be my favourite book! It talks about how you can step into your power, how to stop allowing bad things and stepping into the ocean of all the good things you deserve. It talks about the Law Of Attraction in a more digestible, joking manner! Definitely, a must-read!
