Today almost all the World population knows what is covid 19 and its symptoms. The World has been fighting the Covid 19 pandemic for the last 2 years. India is also fighting the pandemic from march 2020. The Pandemic started in Wuhan(China) and spread all around the world.
When it started most of us thought that it was nothing but the flu which couldn’t harm us but when the population was infected with this virus, the governments and the health organizations were shocked at what was going on. Then the scientist and doctors started researching the covid pandemic and they see similar results in the virus which came in 2003 and is known as the sars virus.
They named this virus Sars Cov-2. They started telling the governments to regulate some guidelines regarding this virus and alert people about its consequences. WHO (World Health Organisation) has also suggested that all governments take some actions regarding covid-19 because it brings dangerous consequences in the future.
Governments started testing covid 19 patients who came from China or other countries where the virus spread. Mask and Hand Sanitizers became for all the people to protect from covid 19. It is because the study shows that the virus is entered humans through the nose, and mouth. Mask covered the entire nose and mouth so it is the best weapon to fight against covid.

The first case was detected in India on covid 19 January 2020. The students who were returned from China were detected covid-19 positive which means that they have been infected with the virus. At that time there was no situation of panic created among the people of covid 19 because they had all recovered from covid 19.
But in March there were many cases of covid 19 coming in India on a large scale. Due to that reason, the Government has imposed a complete lockdown from March to May 2020. Everything was shut down during the lockdown except the essential items like medicine and food stores were open.
The lockdown has also impacted the economy of India which shows the GDP growth data in India during the lockdown was around -24 percent. Covid has impacted every sector but the most affected sector all over the world is the travel and tourism sector.
Was the Second Wave of Covid 19 Worse for India?
The first covid pandemic in India was at its peak in September with around 1 Lakh cases, but after cases went declined the restrictions were also removed by the Government. People think that covid has gone. But in the month of April-May, the covid 19-second wave has come in India and it could be a tragedy for the people of India.
Daily cases would be in the figure of 3 lakhs and more and casualties were around 4000 per day. The situation is getting worse in the country and also the speed of vaccination was not good. The government data shows that 4 Lakh people had died due to covid 19-second wave but some organizations say that the actual death of the people dying was 50 Lakhs.
There was an oxygen crisis in the second wave. People had to struggle for oxygen cylinders and medicine for their families and relatives. Today also if we remember those situations, we have a nightmare regarding the pains and tears which come to people’s eyes to see their family members dying in front of their eyes.
