The movie "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" hit theatres in 2018. The movie was a joint production of Sony Pictures Animation and Marvel Entertainment. This adaptation of the ‘Spider-Verse’ was directed by Peter Ramsey with two other co-directors Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman.

The release date of this thrilling action-packed movie on Netflix is June 26, 2019. This was probably the best-animated spider-man feature film ever which won the 91st Academy awards including other awards like BAFTA and Golden Globe. The IMDB rating of the film is 8.4 which means the movie managed to gain a great number of viewers across the world.

The story of this film is about a teenager like every spider-man movie we have seen before but this time there is Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker. Miles Morales is in another reality who gets the power to become Spider-Man and falls into some trouble. For the first time, the concept of multi-verse has been introduced in this movie where many Spider-people come to the world of Miles from another reality or universe.

So, you can enjoy this film on your weekend and find out how Miles deals with the great power he is gifted with responsibility. The sequel of this movie will hit the theatres on 2 June 2023.

 

2.   The Gray Man

Probably one of the most discussed and watched films on Netflix, ‘The Gray Man’ was released on 22 July 2022. This was an adoption of the 2009 Novel by Mark Greaney of the same name. There are 11 novels in ‘The Gray Man series and this is just the beginning.

Netflix produced this film and 20 crores USD was the total amount used to make this action-thriller movie. The film was directed by the great Russo brothers, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo who are known basically for the super-hit films they made for Marvel Entertainment. Highest grossing movies like ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ are directed previously by the Russo brothers and these films got huge popularity worldwide. So, there is no doubt ‘The Gray Man’ would be one of the best movies on Netflix.

The story of this particular film is very simple where a skilled agent who worked for the CIA in the past but had been sent behind the bars for some crime committed by him. After a few times, he is recruited as a high-skilled assassin for a non-agents program of the CIA called ‘Sierra’. After the recruitment, his code name would be ‘Six’ and he would be sent for certain missions which are mostly off-the-books. In a mission like this, he would get to know about the dark secrets of the CIA and a senior CIA operative named Carmicheal from a fellow Sierra number four. Now Carmicheal assigned a ruthless socio-pathetic former agent Llyod Hansen to get that information from six.

 

With wonderful VFX, the camera angles and the art of direction of the Russo brothers made this movie amazingly enjoyable for thriller lovers.

 

3.   Darlings

With the production of Red Chillies Entertainment, the ‘Darlings’ came out on Netflix on 5 August 2022. Alia Bhatt is one of the main protagonists and co-producer of this film. It is a dramatic thriller movie that one can enjoy with family or friends. Jasmeet K. Reen is a co-writer and also this movie's director. This is her debut film in Bollywood. The film was released on 5 August 2022.

 

So, the plot of this movie goes around the life of Hamza (played by Vijay Varma) and Badru (played by Alia Bhatt). Badru falls in love with Hamza and gets married. But after three years of marriage, Badru finds out the real face of Hamza turns out an alcoholic and pathetic person who is just looking nicer outside. She would become a victim of domestic violence. Hamza tortures her daily but Badru is not ready to leave him in the hope he might change someday. But after certain incidents, things will change and Badru with his mother Shamshun (played by Shefali Shah) sets off to take revenge on her husband for the mistreatment.

 

The story of this dark comedy is wonderful in a word and is nicely presented on the screen by the actors with their sterling performance. The movie is appreciated by many critics and the performance of Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah must win your heart.
