Ancient traditions hold the answers we seek today, if only we slow down and listen.

Q. How did your journey into this yogic lifestyle begin?

My journey into the yogic lifestyle began with a profound inner calling in my early years, sparked by a curiosity about life’s deeper purpose beyond academic and societal achievements. While studying at IIT Bombay, I encountered yoga and meditation classes and delved into ancient Indian texts like the Bhagavad Gita, which ignited a spark of self-inquiry. After graduating, I traveled to Rishikesh for a one-month course in yogic studies, where I discovered that yoga extends far beyond asanas. This led me to the Sivananda Ashram, where I immersed myself in yoga, meditation, and Vedantic philosophy, reshaping my perspective and guiding me to live mindfully. Later, I pursued a Master’s in Yogic Studies from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University to deepen my understanding. Today, I share the wisdom gained from my gurus and these experiences through my videos on the page (wisdomoflovish), inspiring others to explore their own spiritual paths.

Q. How have you blended scientific thinking with spiritual practice?

My education at IIT Bombay instilled a rigorous, analytical mindset, while my training at Sivananda Ashram & MA Yoga deepened my understanding of spiritual truths. I see science and spirituality as complementary lenses to explore reality. Science decodes the external world, while spirituality illuminates the inner. By grounding my spiritual practices in discipline and observation, I approach yoga and meditation with a scientific curiosity, testing their efficacy in fostering mental clarity and emotional balance. This synergy allows me to present ancient wisdom in a way that resonates with rational, modern minds.

Q. How do you explain yoga’s deeper philosophical and meditative aspects to those who see it only as exercise?

To those who view yoga solely as physical exercise, I emphasize that asanas are just one limb of the eight-fold path described by Patanjali. Yoga is a holistic system for aligning body, mind, and spirit, with meditation and philosophy as its heart. I explain that practices like dhyana (meditation) and adherence to yamas and niyamas (ethical principles) cultivate self-awareness, inner peace, and a connection to universal consciousness. By framing yoga as a journey of self-discovery, I invite people to explore its transformative depth beyond the mat.

Q. How do you keep festivals, rituals, and ancient traditions relevant for a modern global audience?

I bridge the timeless essence of festivals, rituals, and traditions with modern sensibilities by highlighting their universal values—gratitude, community, and self-reflection. Through my Instagram reels, I distill their spiritual significance into relatable narratives, using contemporary language and visuals to make them accessible. By connecting rituals like Diwali or Navratri to themes of inner light and renewal, I show how these practices offer practical wisdom for navigating today’s fast-paced, globalized world, fostering a sense of rootedness and purpose.

Q. What role does discipline play in maintaining both your personal sadhana and your work as a creator?

Discipline is the backbone of both my personal sadhana and my creative work. A consistent practice of yoga, meditation, and self-study (svadhyaya) keeps me grounded and aligned with my purpose, while a disciplined approach to content creation ensures authenticity and impact. By adhering to a structured routine, I cultivate the clarity and energy needed to create meaningful Instagram reels that inspire others. Discipline transforms intention into action, harmonizing my inner growth with my mission to share wisdom.

Also I personally believe that Physical excercise with proper discipline is MUST. If you don’t have a healthy body, how will you go to temple or preach God!

Q. How do you ensure Sukhalaya India’s offerings align with your spiritual values?

At Sukhalaya India, every product is curated with the intention of uplifting mind, body, and spirit, in alignment with yogic principles of purity and mindfulness. We prioritize ethical sourcing, sustainability, and authenticity, ensuring that offerings like meditation aids or wellness products resonate with the values of ahimsa (non-violence) and satya (truth).

By infusing our work with the intention to serve and inspire, we create products that support spiritual growth and holistic well-being, reflecting the essence of my teachings.

That is why, we don’t sell wide range of varieties, but, we are majorly focused on products that help people in their spiritual journey, like Rudraksha, Gangajal, Camphor, etc.

Q. What is the biggest misconception people have about living a yogic lifestyle?

The greatest misconception about a yogic lifestyle is that it requires renouncing worldly life or adopting extreme asceticism. In reality, yoga is about balance—integrating mindfulness, compassion, and self-discipline into everyday actions. It’s not about escaping life but embracing it with awareness and purpose. Through my content, I aim to dispel this myth by showing that a yogic lifestyle is accessible to all, enhancing modern life with clarity, peace, and connection to the divine within.

Q. If you had to describe “true peace” in one sentence, what would it be?

True peace is the serene harmony that arises when the mind rests in the present moment, aligned with the eternal truth of one’s inner Self.

My Guru: Swami Ji - Vishnudevananda says “Peace of Mind is Happiness”.

Q. If Lord Shiva had an Instagram account today, what kind of posts do you think He would share?

Lord Shiva, the embodiment of transcendence and transformation, would likely share Instagram reels that inspire detachment, inner strength, and unity with the cosmos. His posts might include meditative chants from sacred mountains, moments of profound stillness amidst chaos, or symbolic imagery of the Tandava dance to signify life’s cycles.

With captions rooted in Advaita Vedanta, He would encourage followers to look beyond illusions, embrace simplicity, and find divinity in all beings, all while radiating boundless compassion and cosmic wisdom.

But truly, I don’t think Lord Shiva needs to create an account or share something, He’s beyond all this. He’s an emotion, a feeling, and a divine presence which is beyond materialistic things.
