Baksheesh Kaur Interview
Q. You have built a large and dedicated online audience as a vlogger. Beyond what viewers see on screen, how would you describe yourself as a person?
I would describe myself as a curious, ambitious, and grounded person. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, exploring different cultures, and learning something new from every experience. On camera I’m energetic and fun, but off camera I’m someone who values family, self-growth, and staying authentic. I believe in spreading positivity and inspiring people to step out of their comfort zones.
Q. You mentioned UGC in your bio. Have you ever been a UGC-NET aspirant, or was preparing for government exams once part of your journey?
The UGC in my bio stands for User-Generated Content, where I create promotional content for brands. It’s not related to the UGC-NET examination. However, I have been preparing for competitive exams related to teaching, as I completed my B.Sc. in Biology and am currently pursuing my B.Ed. So, education has always been an important part of my journey.
Q. You have a strong subscriber base on YouTube. What inspired you to become a vlogger? Was there any special story or turning point behind this decision?
My journey started with a simple passion for creating videos and sharing experiences. I realized that I loved telling stories through my camera and connecting with people. The turning point came when one of my videos received an overwhelming response. That gave me the confidence to take content creation seriously, and since then, I’ve been consistently creating content while balancing my studies.
Q. You’ve travelled to many parts of India and explored several cities. How do you decide which place to visit next, and how do you usually plan your journeys?
I usually choose destinations based on unique experiences, local culture, food, festivals, or places that my audience wants to see. Before every trip, I research the location, prepare a rough itinerary, estimate my budget, and also look for hidden gems instead of visiting only the famous tourist attractions.
Q. Along with vlogging, you also create comedy videos. Since comedy is not an easy genre, do you write your own scripts, or do you work with someone else on the creative process?
Most of my comedy content is self-written. I get ideas from everyday life, trending situations, and relatable experiences. Sometimes I take inspiration from conversations around me, but I always add my own style and personality to make the content feel original and relatable.
Q. Looking ahead to the next five years, what is your vision for your growth as a vlogger? What major goals or milestones are you working toward?
Over the next five years, I want to build one of India’s most trusted travel and lifestyle content brands. My goals include reaching one million subscribers on YouTube, expanding my presence across multiple social media platforms, collaborating with leading national and international brands, and traveling to more countries. Most importantly, I want to inspire young creators to believe that consistency and authenticity can turn a passion into a successful career.
Q. Outside your work is there any book, movie or series. Which you like most?
I’m not much of a book reader, but I really enjoy watching travel-based movies and documentaries. They inspire me to explore new destinations, experience different cultures, and see the world from different perspectives. As a travel vlogger, these stories motivate me to create content that encourages others to travel, explore, and experience new places.
