Can you tell us a little about your background?
Born and brought up in Chennai, my childhood was very breezy and years flew away like a feather. I finished my high school and took up Journalism as my UG degree. Fair to say I had a good time during my three years at my college. My family is very understanding about my decisions and my future plans. I feel blessed as they support me thought everything and for always being there for me.
Why did you choose Eat My News?
When my second semester ended, we got our summer break. I wanted to learn something on the course of those two months, and i stumbled upon Eat my News and applied for an internship program as EMN’s objectives were pretty clear and aimed at making the world more inspired, informed and intelligent.
Tell us something about the experimental learning during the program?
I was assigned as the video editor for EMN’s YouTube content. It was challenging as I had no experience with editing before. Credits to the EMN team for trusting me to do the job which made me acquire a new skill set.
Did you make any new lifelong friends while being a part of Board of Young Leaders Program?
I can’t say I have made lifelong friends or any thick friends as EMN is based in Delhi and I was working from home at Chennai. So there was no meet and greet or going to the office everyday. But I did get to know an inspiring personality from EMN, who is Tanya. She recruited me into the company and even after I had left EMN, she texts me about the events and other videos and stuff about EMN. I am very much happy seeing the growth of both Tanya as a speaker and as a successful leader.
What were your two highlights of the BOYL program?
One is that the company was full of youth and we had a shared idea and similar thoughts which made work a lot easier and smooth. Second is as I mentioned earlier, video editing is something I learnt from working with EMN. I feel inspired and grateful by the people who put trust and faith in me.
Any pearls of wisdom for aspiring Board of Young Leaders Program applicants?
I don’t think I’m on a level where I can advice others. But, if I want to say something to the applicants it would be to have faith in yourselves and love the work you’re gonna do because EMN is a great place full of young minds which will help you discover your talents.
