1. Tell us more about your company and your journey.

I am Prasad Seth. I am the Founder of Magnus technologies. I have pursued Computer Engineering from Pune University. Immediately after my engineering, I started working as a Software Developer. 

I was a Firefox Student Ambassador & now I am an active Mozillian. For my immense contribution to Mozilla, I have been listed in the world contributors list of Mozilla.

I have been invited as a Tech Speaker at various engineering colleges, Tech meetups in Maharashtra. I am also a Community Manager for Tech Meetups in Pune. I like to teach Technical things & help people with the same.

For my contribution to the field of IT & Technology recently I was awarded Padvidhar Award (from 1800 nominations). Also, I am honored by the Young Innovator Award by Rotary club.

With the motive of doing community service, I joined Rotaract International District 3131. In Rotaract International District 3131 I am a District Professional Development Director & District Professional Assistance Officer. I am also on the Board of Directors of the Rotaract club.

I am a passionate blogger. I write a technical blog where I share my experiences about different events & technical tips.


With the intention of building products that have positive impacts on society, I started my own company Magnus Technologies. Magnus Technologies have developed several apps that have more than 30,000 downloads.


2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it? 

I am a passionate problem solver. Whenever I develop any app, the sole motive behind developing it is to help society. I always think about how my Technical Knowledge can be helpful to society.

Recently, I have developed an app "Face Touch Alert" which is my small contribution to fight against Corona Virus. This app is very helpful for all the employees working from home.

My work has been appreciated by medals like ABP News, News Nation, London based platform Innovators, German-based platform Old oak soul, Times of India, Economic Times, Pudhari, Tele-medicine society of India, Asian Association for Emergency Medical Services, Nasscom, Radio Nagar 90.4 FM, etc. 


3. What leads you to speak on various platforms? 

I am a Tech Speaker. I love to teach people & solve their technical problems. I have been invited as a Tech Speaker at various meetups, conferences & engineering colleges. I am also a Community Manager for Tech meetups in Pune, India. My interview is featured by TEDx. 

In the current lockdown, I have given training to more than 500+ students on How to Create a Strong LinkedIn Profile, Open Source contribution & How to contribute to Mozilla Firefox. I have organized several webinars. 


4. How can one become a public speaker? 

Some of the key points one should consider becoming a public speaker is : 
  1. You should have a passion for Teaching. 
  2. Make a visually appealing Presentation. 
  3. Have some one-liners ready. 
  4. During your talks, offer some laugh lines. 

5. What are some of the most important factors for running a successful business? 

Important factors according to me that contribute to the success of a business are: 
  1. Hard work 
  2. Perseverance 
  3. Sales 
  4. Starting a business requires analytical thinking, determined organization, and detailed record-keeping. 

6. What are your tips for the first time and aspiring entrepreneurs? 

Some Tips for the first time and aspiring entrepreneurs are : 
  1. Constantly monitor your Finances. 
  2. Hire the right people. 
  3. Focus on building a great Product or Service. 
  4. Know your Goals. 

7. How can one overcome a hurdle of lack of funds when starting up? 

You must use savings from your previous business profit or job. You may even take help from family & friends.
