1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am Madhuparna Karmakar. I have done my graduation from Sivanath Sastri College. I was a B. Com student. Now I am making preparations for bank and Railway examination.

I have completed my schooling from Ram Mohan Mission School up to class 10. And then I completed my ISC examination from Hirandra Leela Patranavis.

I am a girl who is a food enthusiast and I love to enjoy my life thoroughly.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

At first, I had a normal Instagram account which I created back in 2015. But then I was introduced to this field of social media influencing by my sister, Sreeparna who is also a famous Influencer. I reviewed many Restaurants and people loved my food photography and that's how madhu_parna97 was born.

Later on, I grew an interest in lifestyle influencing. Along with food, I started as a lifestyle influencer from November 2019. My best Friend Subhojyoti and my mother always motivate me for taking up new challenges and fight against all the odds.

Now it's almost 1.5 years I am into influencing and let's see where it takes me.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

Many people assume that the terms, blogger, and influencer are the same but it's no so. An influencer is someone with an online platform who influences people's buying decisions.

Whereas a blogger is someone who creates their own valuable, informative content. Most bloggers have their own websites where they write and publish their blogs.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

Being Financially sustainable in the field of influencing is obviously hard. It requires a lot of hard work, great ideas of creating content, and dedication. So with your utmost dedication, you can surely achieve success.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

There are actually 4 factors that influence consumer behaviour-Psychological (motivation, perception, etc), Personal(Age, Occupation, lifestyle) Social (family, roles and status) Cultural(social class system, subculture).

Studying consumer behavior is very important as from this we get to know what the audience wants and by which way I can present it before them. Keep in mind the statistics, is an effective way of influencing consumer behavior.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

According to me, success is a feeling of satisfaction and happiness which one gets from a particular activity. My mantra in life is to be positive always. Not everyone will praise you for your work, you must accept the reality and go ahead.

Another thing is that you do not try to compare yourself with anyone. Everyone is unique and different in their own way. Don't get jealous of seeing another individual being successful rather work hard and try to reach success by yourself. I believe that follow your heart, listen to your inner voice, and do let criticism affect you rather take it as a challenge and accomplish it.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

For becoming a successful social media influencer One must select the niche in which they are interested. Utilize social media profiles for influencing people. Understand and engage with the audience. The more you are able to engage with your audience, the more people will be influenced by your opinions and recommendations.

Provide high-quality content. The content should be original. Copying other content won't take you far. One must be creative in their own way. Most importantly Hard work is very necessary to become successful because Without hard work nothing is possible.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is "man's search for meaning ".This book very well portrays that it is not that discovering meaning in life is important in a vague, philosophically relevant sort of way, but rather is essential to one’s psychological sense of well-being. And one's inability to find the meaning of life causes stress and anxiety. What is important is to have a purpose and an ultimate goal.
