1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Me, Sakshi Singh from "The City of Nawabs" - Lucknow.

I'm currently doing MSc honors Botany from Lucknow University. I'm the only daughter of my parents with my elder brother. Being the youngest, I'm the most pampered person in my family.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

Mmmmh! I hadn't started my Blogging by taking any particular decision. I literally have no idea of the world of food blogging. Didn't know an A of food blogging.

Well, My Father cooks amazing food he keeps us surprising by his delicacies. In my early days, My Mommy keeps me away from the kitchen so I should not get burnt. Whenever my Father cooks food, I make rounds of the kitchen to see how he experiments with the food and how cleanly he cooks the deliciousness.

This is something inspiring me from within. So, there is an inspiration and Motivation behind my cooking and experimenting with food that came to me from my Dad.

Being a food lover, I love to eat, cook, and click their photos. I really enjoy cooking(holds a stress buster) and experimenting. One day, I thought I should have of something my own where I could make memories with my own pics so, I choose Instagram with my other account of my name (now as Thefoodicserve).

As time passes by, I started getting likes and comments from food bloggers I saw their Instagram handles related to food then only I came to know there is something a world called "food blogging".

3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?

In my opinion, I don't think its a sustainable career financially..yes it could be a sidekick or just as an add on criteria. But in the long run, it can be a good alternative to earn from home which will of course demand time and perseverance.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Indeed, there are numerous who inspired me by their cooking and presentation skills as they demonstrated their tremendous love with food.

There are many favorites but can't call up everyone's name here but I'm mentioning a few of the creators whose names consistently be in my brain whenever it's about creators.

Karanfoodfanatic is one such creator his content is astounding. I love How passionately he cooks one can found reading her recipes. I found his Presentation & Photography more Appealing! And more importantly the tips he mentions in his descriptions are really helpful and an insight into what an experienced creator he is.

Desiduniyafoodtalk..she is a girl who perfectly knows how to balance a tasty yet healthy meal. Her consistency is her biggest quality and mostly what I learned from her is its ingredients that matters rather than presentation. The journey of food from your mouth to your stomach should be body-friendly as well as tasty.

Fatfoodfetish, Being a software developer its so challenging to maintain a food blog, but anyhow she manages to follow her passion. She is the example if someone knows it makes u happy you should do it and keep doing it!!

She travels from place to place and gives honest reviews so, that no one can get into trouble of choosing menus and places and avoid the fas of going through enormous menus. I literally admire her how does she deal with all the obstacles and remains consistent with her content.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I don't think when you are living with your passion then you have to think of the content. In the beginning, I used to post all the photos that were made and styled in my own particular manner n which we used to eat...

Being a food lover, my cravings itself gives me an opportunity to create content. My cravings fairly won't rule on anyone cuisines its keeps on changing day to day or hour to hour;). Well, I always keep eating the variations in food including healthy and spicy delicacies.

Moreover, as time passes, I started getting messages with pics trying out my recipes and showing love for content. The audience that following me is inspiring n motivating me more day by day to do a lot more.

6. W
hat does your typical day look like?

Its been a while since I developed a whole routine keeping health as the priority and regulating my meals and eating habits accordingly.

My day starts as the clocks strike 5:30 am. My routine starts with a cup of warm water that I like to sip watching the sunrise on my terrace that calms my soul. The very next thing I indulge in is Yoga and a workout that makes my day energetic and more productive.

Alongside I pen down the ideas and tasks that I have to wrap for the rest of the day that includes cooking meals and their presentations. Next, I water the plants and after a shower, I dig on a healthy breakfast that is usually oats, poha, or smoothies.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

"The Wings of fire" by APJ Abdul Kalam, The book inspires you to give your best shot in achieving something you really aspire for.

The subtle art of not giving a fuck and  Attitude is everything.

Some teachings of the book below :

1. Success is in the process and not in the destination. You have to live happily in the process because if you think you will be happy when you reach the destination, your happiness will not be long-lived.

2. Looking for positive experiences is itself a negative experience because if you are looking for a good experience that means you are not satisfied at the present moment.

3. Everything starts with the right attitude. Everybody knows that to complete stuff we gotta take action, we have to move from our comfort zone. But the problem with us is that we keep on thinking but never make a move.

This book is a bliss, a short read but such beautifully written that the message the author wants to convey just gets pinned to your heart.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

For anyone who is trying their hands on such a platform I would like to say do only if you enjoy it. Don't run for followers..stay genuine and focus on content And, most of all be consistent. To grow in any online platform, the key is to be consistent.

Network with other bloggers and brands and keep working to get your content better Even if u don't have the best equipment and props (i mostly use DIY), this works like magic.

And yes if you ever feel demotivated just remember you are doing this for your happiness and experiences. Just trust yourself and your content and keep doing the good work and steadily you will cross all the Milestones!!
